Some day down the line, maybe just ONE of the deluded will begin to think. One of them will see just how many intelligent people in this world consider religion to be ridiculous and be unafraid to say so. Maybe, just maybe, one such seed planted will result in one human being being saved from a fantasy life.
I know that this HAS happened. I have done it THREE times.
I will repeat now that the US is extremely-backward compared to Europe, where the average percentage of atheists within the population is 75%. This will grow, when the older generation, who have hung on to their ancient myths, will die off and the new generations will swell the numbers.
This is Europe, where the old churches are empty. Where the old churches are being utilised for art galleries, community centres, exhibition sites - if they are not boarded up or abandoned totally.
The magnificent historic cathedrals, of which there are many, with stunning architectural qualities, remain valid as tourist sites ONLY.
Recently, the former Prime Minister of GB, Tony Bliar (yes - the spelling is intended that way) admitted that he dare not publicly stress his interest in becoming a Catholic, as he feared that the British public would consider him a 'nutter' (crazy person). Exactly right to think so.
Wake up USA, your country is becoming the Christian version of Iran faster than you think, assisted by the Son-of-a-Bush and his delusions.
Sadly, in the UK, there are so many muslims who do not care for British values and the way of life, who have emigrated there, who are determined to introduce Shariah law there!!!
The bulk of religious in the UK are muslims. What does that tell you?
By the way, there is no actual god in existence. All gods are imaginary, always have been throughout history, and, until those who make the opposite claim can come up with ANY real evidence to the contrary, as it is their responsibility to provide proof and not ours to provide anything, you can insert your god concept where the sun doesn't shine. Much as earlier generations shoved Zeus, Ra, Odin, etc, etc.
Reality beckons. You can refuse the invitation but you can't ignore that it is there.

Hmm. I answered one of your questions a minute ago and I HAD to check you page and sure enough I was right about my thoughts.
Im christian and I beleive in God 100%. I know people who DONT thou. I accept them for their beleifs and I dont critize them no matter what.
As for you. You say that antheists post 'there is no GOD'. What about the people on here who post 'There is a GOD' non stop. What do you have to say to them.
I think YOURE the one trying to change peoples mind and you are also being obnoxious. The world does not revolve around what you think, nor does everyone have to accept your beleifs.
Get a life.

they have just as much of a chance at changing someones mind as people who post "Jesus is the only way to salvation" or "Find the truth find Islam" or "Discover the truth, discover _______" has of changing people's minds. Which would be zero in any of the cases.
It is an infantile mentality that would use these one-liner kind of replies to question in the first place and ANYONE who does it Atheist or Theist is just being obnoxious.

Not an Atheist, but seems that what they are doing is no different than what the Christians are doing. Both CAN BE obnoxious. At least they are not telling people that unless they change what they believe they are destined for Hell. (which, as far as I am concerned is a fictitious place lead by a fictitious figure created to try to frighten people)

Christians and Muslims, do you think that by posting ''There is a God and evolution is a lie'' every chance you get that you're actually going to change anyone's mind? or are you just trying to be obnoxious?
Think about it for a moment, will you!

In a lot of topics I see aimed directly at atheists - I see tons of posts that say something like
The bible is 100% true. Believe and accept in Jesus.
Even though it has NOTHING to do with the answer or question asked.
I also see a lot of
You'll be surprised when you're burning in hell
Which is pretty obnoxious in my opinion
Neither "side" is perfect

There's an outside chance I may change someone's mind and I like being a bubble-buster.
But most of all, making fun of fundies is easier than shooting dairy cows with a hi-powered rifle using a scope.

Education is the key for religious superstitions and delusions to quietly fade away like they do in every modern civilized countries, thanks to public school systems.
Posting "there is no God" with an explanation is part of that education effort.
Here is one just for you dear:
Believing that invisible things are around you, watching you, listening to you and influencing you lives are symptoms of schizophrenia, a potentially very serious mental disease that should be treated. There is no God, there are many schizoid delusional mental disorders.

Since when have I posted that? I can honestly say I never have. Yes, I say that I believe there is no god, and yes I give reasons for that belief, but I never state it as a fact, especially with no evidence to back up that statement.

It's the same with believers. If they throw books and pamphlets at me proclaiming god and jesus are real and true, they're not going to change my mind.
Essentially, all religions are at a stalemate. Those who are loyal to their faiths (or lack of) aren't going to change each other's mind.
It's like physics (ong, I related it to SCIENCE lawl). People will believe what they do until something else interacts with it.
Like, I believed in god until my best friend died in my arms. Since then, no god or faith has entered my heart.
By posting this question, are you expecting to change someone?
