It makes me think of The Sopranos, gangsters, drug-smugglers, etc. It really doesn't do much for the 'moral atheist' image, does it?

A cat amongst the pigeons? A wolf amongst the sheep? A fox amongst the chickens? Take your pick; all these analogies sound very apt to me…can any of you wacky non-atheists come up with opposing disparaging analogies? I promise I’ll give 10 points to the most creative non-atheist answer.

- half women.
They bemoaned their Condition ALONE to themselves, and to their "sisters." Although the popular MYTH has been, to blame them for their maliciousness, in luring men and their ships on to their rocky shores, causing their death, through the sound of their inimitably BEAUTIFUL voices..Yet, mine is another version : As I have agreed with Franz Kafka, the great writer. The Sirens had no ill intention. Their beautiful singing was not a deliberate Lure, instead it was NOT singing at all! It was a Lament, they uttered, a wail, a mournful sound, heard as song, which told of the sorrow they felt for their Condition of Uniqueness, Exception, and Isolation. For they were DOOMED CREATURES All! : half fish, half women; Their state, gave them NO Place in the World! Their Lament, BEAUTIFUL, as it was - magnetized the men to them and their own death, but was not done from malice. But from the lament of sorrow which was So Beautifully Heard.
Valid do you think, this version of the Myth?

1 year ago today a friend, maybe the best friend I ever had died. I still have not gotten over it. We were friends since we were 3 years old. 41 years we were friends. Did everything together.

1 year ago today she was killed by a drunk driver while she was riding her horse, I was about 100 feet behind her and saw the whole thing.

Tonight while I was in the bathroom both the shampoo and conditioner fell off into the bath tub, I was across the room from them, no one else was in the room.

Just now I looked out to see if it was raining or snowing yet and I swear I saw a shadow of someone on a horse riding down the road in front of my house. It is 3:30 AM, 33 degrees out, no one would be riding by my home. I went out and looked at the road, no hoof prints as there should have been. I have never quiet been the same since I lost my friend, hmmm but an I loosing my mind? Sorry I had to post it here, not really a subject matter for this, but they need one.

went to the local drug store and asked the pharmacist for Viagra.
The pharmacist said "That's no problem. How many do you want?"
The man answered, "Just a few, maybe four, but cut each one into four pieces."
The pharmacist said, "That won't do you any good."
The elderly gentleman said, "That's alright. I don't need them for sex anymore. I am over 80 years old. I just want it to stick out far enough so I don't piss on my shoes."

Why are religious people always playing the "Holier-than-thou" card?

Telling us how to live doesn't make people want to follow your belief system. And threatening us with eternal damnation and God's wrath and all that other stuff...well, threats are what terrorists use against us.

So, why be a terrorist when you can just let people choose to live their lives on a path to Hell or not.

The path to Hell was paved with good intentions from Lucifer while God watched and waited. Shouldn't we just wait and see what happens?

to finally drive the point across to them? Otherwise they keep floating high on their ego & are not willing to listen to anyone who is polite and respectful to them.

Don't you agree?
