Allah comes from Al-ilah, which was the name of the supreme god(the moon god) in pre-Islam Arabia.
Al-ilah has a wife, the sun, and children, the stars.
They're not related.

Allah is the generic Arabic word for god. However, the Allah worshipped by Muslims is not the same as the God of the Bible (the Triune God). Muslims worship the moon god. Abraham worshipped the Triune God.

As both Arabic and Hebrew are semitic languages they have similar words for the same objects and many words are either very similar or identical is both arabic and Hebrew. So that fact that Allah is so close to the Hebrew "El" is not a surprise.

Hebrew and Arabic are very similar. I don't know Arabic, but I know that in Hebrew, the root A-L-H means "to go up" or "high". So my guess is that in Arabic it has a similar meaning.

Allah (Arabic: اÙÙÙ, AllÄh) is the standard Arabic word for "God".[1] The term is most likely derived from a contraction of the Arabic article al- and ʾilÄh "deity, god" to al-lÄh meaning "the [sole] deity, God" (ho theos monos); another theory traces the etymology of the word to the Aramaic AlÄhÄ (God).
So it basically means 'God'. Arabic, Hebrew and Aramaic are Semitic languages so they kind of sound the same.

Allah is the name of God of Abraham; a monthiest.
Perhaps Allah is the combination of two words:
Al and ilaha , joined together.
Al means 'The' and Ilaha means 'God'. So Allah means
'The God'.
It seems to me so ,but Allah knows the best.
