You are right; Christians believe that G-d can and did take human form. Jews do not believe this at all.
Christians also believe that anyone, however moral, who does not embrace Jesus as divine etc, will burn in hell for eternity.
Jews disagree: we believe that everyone reaches heaven, whatever their religion, if they lead a righteous life here on earth.
Christians insist, wrongly, that the new testament and the 'old' testament (Tanakh) go 'hand in hand' - this is incorrect. The NT has no bearing upon the Tanakh whatsoever and it contradicts most of what Judaism teaches.
Jesus lived and died a practising Jew and he never said that Judaic law should be set aside or changed. The ONLY people who currently practise the same religion as Jesus, are Jews.
EDIT TO GYPSY KING AND TUBEROOT
I think most sane people would agree that it's absurd for you, as Christians, to keep claiming that we Jews 'don't understand' our own theology and bible. Anyone who knows anything about the 'old' testament/Tanakh will KNOW why Jesus COULD NOT have possibly been the messiah.
Stop being so arrogant.

The God of the Jews promised them a savior. Jesus is that savior. The early church was made up of Jews who believed in him and the New Testament was written for the most part, if not all, by Jews. There are today, many Jews who have accepted Jesus as the promised Messiah. They are referred to as Messianic Jews.
You can check out the first part of my answers to see if they are true by reading the new testament.
I guess this means that they both worship the same God.

Yes, he is the god of Abraham. However, they have different accounts of his being, and very different ways of reaching him. Someone said that Mohammed followed a polytheistic cult. Well, what difference does that make? He ended up with one god (unfortunately). Besides, all of the monotheistic systems came from polytheistic systems. Mohammed apparently found the god of Abraham, and so why not acknowledge his convictions?

The Jews do not understand what the Christians understand about God unless they are converted Jews.
As it was promised.
That's the part they find hard to swallow.
God promised the Hebrews that they would be made "jealous of a foolish nation."
He also promised the Hebrews that they would recognize 'him whom they have pierced.' But not until he RETURNED to Jerusalem for the Day of Vengeance. ( Zechariah 14 )
He ALSO promised that the Gentiles would:
Isaiah 62:2
And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

All monotheistic religions (Christianity, Islam and Judaism) have the same god, the Yahweh God of the Hebrews, but each religion has it's own decorations and fruit salad they add to the basic god concept.

Simple! There is only one God, because there cannot be many. Quran says, if there were more Gods than One, each would have taken His creatures along.
At another place it says, if there were more Gods, each would
have fought the other and the world would have been destroyed.
Muslims believe in One God, who sent thousands of prophets, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, were just three of
them. Because they were born in different ages, they called
God in different languages. But in actual fact Jevoah, God
and Allah are the names of One and the same God, the
Creator and Sustainer of the worlds.

Water: ice, fluid, vapor - still water
God: Father, Son, Spirit - still God
Christians, Jews, Muslims, perhaps Siekhs, perhaps Ba'hai (I'm saying perhaps because I don't have adequate knowledge to say for sure about those 2 groups) and many traditional Native Americans have the same God.

The new testament has a completely different god...i am not the god of the old testament...thats the one the christians follow - apparently merciful, forgiving, loving - i couldnt say how this goodness goes with the concept of hell for all who don't believe...
just dont ask me where he appeared from
