We are probably having Turkey. My mother-in-law is cooking and she always seems to make turkey. I wouldn't mind doing something like a ham or a goose sometime.
Venison is nothing special around here...my husband gets a deer every year and since it's just the two of us we use it in everything instead of beef. I just made venison & barley soup the other day...yummy :)

Turkey is for Thanksgiving.
Christmas is ham, prim rib, standing rib, duck, goose, venison.....with different types of side dishes.
But some people like turkey so much that they will have it for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's a bit too soon for the rest of us.

We are doing a ham only this year if I have my way about it. If not, I'll also make a turkey. We have venison so much that I don't save it for special holidays.

Christmas in Africa is to warm for a propper dinner with trimmings. Our family have lots of salads and cold meats served as a buffet meal. If we do have turkey, its served cold and sliced up.
Since moving to Germany, we have all sorts of porky dishes with cabbage in 101 ways. yuck.

Yes, but venison sounds nice. Just don't tell the kids your eating Bambi's mum.

Beef which I prefer. Turkey is bland and tasteless and mostly produced in broiler houses with the birds never seeing the light, being force fed and filled with hormones. You can buy Organic Turkey but it is hard to find and very expensive.

any of it then throwing it in the bin.Already planned
for a Goose next year.
