to finally drive the point across to them? Otherwise they keep floating high on their ego & are not willing to listen to anyone who is polite and respectful to them.

Don't you agree?

Who has made you mad now? lol Did your parents put you on punishment again?

I think some people are just miserable with their lives and by them acting the way they do, they are only trying to make you as miserable as them or simply covering up their insecurities. I just ignore their behavior and continue to act polite and respectful. That just makes you the better person. Sometimes people admire you for this and later, may come to you an apologize when they realize how they've been acting. Don't allow people to control your emotions...you are in control so just be who you are.

I think adults should strive to treat one another with maturity and respectfulness. While it is true that some people are rude and have big egos, why lower yourself to their level by "verbally thrashing" them? If someone is completely full of themselves, they won't ever see themselves as being at fault, no matter what you say to them or how you say it. Deal with them the way you would like to be treated, to preserve your own dignity.

Yes, I agree. Some adults are so wrapped up in themselves that other peoples opinions are not worth listening to. Usually they are know-it-alls who actually know very little.

Yes, but I'm not sure I'm an appropriate judge of when they need one and when they don't. There's always a chance that my ego might be unnecessarily high and telling me that I'm the one who needs to give it to them, when it might not be the case at all.
