Son of God. (John 10:36) To say Jesus is God as well is pure idiocy. That would mean that Jesus is his own Son and Father. Does that make sense? At John 14:28, Jesus said that his Father was greater than he was. At Matt. 24:36, Jesus said only his Father knew the day and hour. So HOW can Jesus be BOTH God AND the Son of God?

Well, in some way, the prophets and saints of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible are all sons and daughers of God, it seems to me.
Is Jesus God?
Well, the gospels certainly say that/suggest that.
One would have to ask God the Father about it.
If God the Father said Jesus is God, then it would be true.

Jesus is both God and the Son of God. God exists in the Holy Trinity - The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. He is 3-in-one! It is kind of difficult to explain this here but think of the rainbow - It is actually 7 colours in one but when you break it down further, it is a combination of 3 primary colours.
Sorry for confusing you!

No.
It was those that came along after Jesus died that elevated him to the status of divine, son of G-d, and so on. Namely, the emperor Constantine. Paul also did much to spread this belief. Paul never even met Jesus.
Jesus lived and died a practising Jew. He never rejected Judaic law nor said it should be altered. Those that claim he did say so have to claim this, to get round the fact that Jesus was Jewish.
Now just watch me get the thumbs down from all the people that don't like reading the truth.
EDIT TO TUBEROOT
You can quote from the Tanakh as much as you like; Christians always rely on mistranslated Hebrew and no matter how many times we Jews explain this, we just get ignored. Anyone who has studied the Tanakh will understand precisely why Jesus could not have been the messiah.

I personally believe that Jesus did not make the claim to be THE Son of God - nor to be a world saviour, etc etc.
And that he did not resurrect at all (the true story - being that he was near death, and taken down to be dead - but was revived, ie. resucitated, because that is the only way for the story to be believable, and in fact he slowly recovered and escaped to India, settling in Kashmir, where he eventually had his own family, and died there, in his old age. See www.tombofjesus.com.
Also the British documentary "Did Jesus Die?" covers this.
And a text which says all of this, is 'The Talmud Jmmanuel'.
www.tjresearch.info/overview.htm
And so, Christianity changed the story to suit itself,
even changing/editing the Bible text so that Jesus then says things he did not, etc etc.

When God formed Adam he then said it is not good that he should be alone. So He gave Adam, Eve .When he made animal they were able to reproduce each after its own kind.So why should the Lord God be alone.God is Love and God is Light and when He first spoke He said,"let there be light and there was light".So yes He is the visible image of the invisible God.

He is both. There are a lot of people who are apparently having trouble with this tonight.
Wasn't it Isaiah who said:
Isaiah 9
6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
What do you see when you read that? How can a child be known as Everlasting Father AND Prince of Peace? Wonderful Counselor? Mighty God?!
What do people see when they see this? Is there some other translation that they can use to deny this verse? If so, what is it? Didn't they see that God told us that Jesus is that person, and not believing Him means death and Sheol?

Good question.........Jesus is the son of God. God Bless. If everybody would read the Bible, then you would all know that Jesus is the only begotten son of God. Jesus was sent here to die for our sins, so we could all be saved and live that everlasting life that God intended for us to do. Adam caused sin. Adam and Eve had it made in the Garden of Eden, they were perfect for awhile. God told them that if they eat from the tree of knowledge, in the middle of the garden, they would surely die. But Satan was a serpent and lied to them and said that they would not die. Who would you believe? God don't lie. God is Love and a Just 'God. How hard was it for them to listen to God. We could have been living forever right now if Adam would have listened to God. God Bless each and everyone of you
