And did you bother looking in an authentic translation to confirm them before believing what they said? I just found out that on a very popular site, they flat out lie and twist things around. What do you think of their words compared to the words of the Quran? Do you still believe them?
"3 Website :
Qur'an:9:112 "The Believers fight in Allah's Cause, they slay and are slain, kill and are killed."
3 Correct Translation :
009.112 Those that turn (to Allah) in repentance; that serve Him, and praise Him; that wander in devotion to the cause of Allah,: that bow down and prostrate themselves in prayer; that enjoin good and forbid evil; and observe the limit set by Allah;- (These do rejoice). So proclaim the glad tidings to the Believers.
Al-Qur'an, 009.112 (At-Tawba [Repentance, Dispensation])

4. Website :
Qur'an:8:39 "So fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief [non-Muslims]) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world)."
4 Correct Translation:
008.039 And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah altogether and everywhere; but if they cease, verily Allah doth see all that they do.
Al-Qur'an, 008.039 (Al-Anfal [Spoils of War, Booty])
6 website:
Qur'an:9:123 "Fight the unbelievers around you, and let them find harshness in you."
6 Correct Translation :
009.123 O ye who believe! fight the unbelievers who gird(push) you about, and let them find firmness in you: and know that Allah is with those who fear Him.

8 Website:
Qur'an:8:73 "The unbelieving infidels are allies. Unless you (Muslims) aid each other (fighting as one united block to make Allah's religion victorious), there will be confusion and mischief. Those who accepted Islam, left their homes to fight in Allah's Cause (al-Jihad), as well as those who give them asylum, shelter, and aid - these are (all) Believers: for them is pardon and bountiful provision (in Paradise)."
8 Correct Translation:
008.073 The Unbelievers are protectors, one of another: Unless ye do this, (protect each other), there would be tumult and oppression on earth, and great mischief.
Al-Qur'an, 008.073 (Al-Anfal [Spoils of War, Booty])

Yes, seeking the undistorted truth that spoutings from yet another so-called holy book will do nothing to rectify or alter in any way.
I see the damage caused by Islam every day.
I know the truth behind many mosques in the UK.
I know the mind-set of the deranged muslim.
So wafflings from several centuries ago have no bearing whatsoever on modern distortions of the ambiguous being manifested in death and destruction on a daily basis.
There is very little defense for radical Islamic behaviour and the Western world is beginning to wake up to it, assisted by the recent cases in Saudi and Sudan but reinforced on a daily basis by the stupidity in Iraq and Afghanistan and the madness in Iran and Pakistan.
Do I assume correctly when I guess that you are not living in any of those countries and are therefore benefiting from Western cultural freedoms?

Thank you very much for that information. I haven't seen any anti-Islam people answer your question. I wonder why. I came across one site that was full of personal letters written by Muslims expressing their hate for their religion. It was very depressing. And at the same time the websites editor was too happy about and it sounded to me like a terrorist site. I have never heard of so much hate by these non-muslims. Since they have renounced their Islamic fate, at least internally, they all proclaimed their utmost hate, sounding very terrorist like calling for the destruction of Islam. These people clearly have been misled and I am sure they have been living under this "political Islam" which we see and hear about today in the media. They must have been allowed a taste of freedom for they certainly spoke of their hardships in the most clearly of ways. Almost making me feel that these were stories written by "different' people. And their English was so perfect, like mine, since I have been educated in the US. This site is another miscalculation of our religion due to strategies of some wicked people.
Thank you for your effort.

Yes. I find it important to read all sources that claim to be representing a particular religion and those anti-religion.
We would not be able to clarify all those errors (as u've done here) w/o first reading those websites.
It's a pity that anybody should do such shameless deeds (deliberately twisting a good religious teaching). As we do not have the control over other's attitude, we should at least try to warn others not to believe in those distorted site postings.

I do read anti-Islamic sites on occasion. Most of them are pretty stupid and are clearly just as bad as those sham websites that support young earth creationism in that most of what they say is pure nonsense.
I evaluate Islam not by some twisted translation on some website, but by the deeds of Islam's followers. Unfortunately for you, such doesn't really make your lot look any better.

I read them to equip myself with answers for these anti-Islam rhetoric. But believe me even if you will shame these Islam bashers by showing their distortions and on your face lies about Islam, they will never stop. Their motivation is not to create a dialogue or an avenue for a rational debate but to stop the spread of Islam in any way they can.
But Alhamdullillah (praise be to God) they can never stop the spread of Islam as more and more people are beginning to see the beauty of it.
Truth can never be covered no matter how hard you try to paint it with millions of lies....

If I have a question about Islam, I ask a Muslim. I figure that the people who should know the most about a religion ARE the followers of that religion.

i would never read these sites because it is offensive to me as a muslim to realise there are actually people who would attempt to twist the words of the holy koran sadly some will stoop to any means to attempt to subvert a pure faith ,but then that is mentioned in the koran, another example of its truth.
