Yes.

All the commercialism, cheap jingle/jangle stuff is the work of Satan.

The best way to Celebrate is in wonder and prayer, with family and friends.

Yes Jesus Christ is the reason for christmas how ever, the give giving part is not pagon as so many seem to say, Santa Claus originated and is still known as jolly old saint nick, who is also known as St. Nicholas, which i am not sure if he was a monk or a bishop, but what it was is a man needed a dr for his child was unable to provide the money and as an act of good will St Nicholas dropped money through the mans window at Christmas time and it landed in his shoe and he found it the next morning. thats why we put up stockings

No, as some people already said it is Pagan in origin. Yule/Winter Solstice is the changing of the seasons and when the Sun God is reborn. People celebrated the return of the light in one of the darkest times of the year. Christians in an attempt to convert Pagans to their religion took over this holiday and turned it into theirs.

And to the person who said never say or write Xmas...you know historically X is a way to write Christ. And mass came from Anglo-Saxon meaning religious event. So Xmas is not disrespect full.

ABSOLUTELY! The reason why Christmas started was to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.... and that is still the reason for this season.

At christmas we are celebrating the birth of christ but it was origionally a pagan celebration of trees until the christians faith adopted it for to celebrate jesus birth. Jesus was actually born in the spring as is worked out from the fact that the shepherds brought a lamb for him. Christian faith took christmas to brighten up the winter months

Yes Christ is the Reason for the Season and it was not intended to be mass marketed because of Jesus, thank u sweet sweet Jane......we celebrate Christmas because of the birth of Jesus, I do not buy presents because Jesus was born......people started to do that because of Santa Claus and that is the reason behind mass marketing.......
I give because I want to....I enjoy seeing people when I give them something but I do not go overboard like some do.....

Unfortunately CHRISTmas is a celebration of presents and commerce and has lost its true meaning. The world seems to be full of Scrooge's. Everybody wants, but no one GIVES. Greed and Ignorance runs rampant in this day and age. CHRISTmas is about giving, caring and celebrating the true Messiah and prophet of GOD.
It seems the politics of some churches have ruined the true meaning of being a Christian. GOD help us all and allow us to find the light in Jesus Christ.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! or MERRY X-MAS!!
X=Xpistos(Greek)=Christ(English)

According to the Bible, there is no such word as Christmas but The season/day is celebrated to remember the birth and the reason for Christ's birth, which is to free us from our sins. So, Let's celebrate the day, remember and thank Him for all the good things He has blessed us with!

No Christmas is pagan in origin......and currently it is being used as a mass marketing tool for people who want to spoil their kids with even more stuff than they already have.....so, no, 'jesus is not the reason for the season"--then or now. You, however, can make the holidays about anything you choose!!
