Let me be an informer here...this is not out of hatred but love and a desire to help people from being deceived. Roman Catholicism won't lead to Salvation.... for you believe in doing other things other than accepting Jesus Christ as savior. Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to salvation. Catholicism didn't originate from St. Peter, but from Constantinople of Rome. Rome faced a major dillema of religions, therefore Constantiniople created Catholicism as a mixture of Christianity and Paganism. That is why all the rituals are upheld. "Summoning Christ" down during their mass is blasphemous, because it is said in the Bible that Christ died ONCE and for ALL to take away man's sin. It is also said in the Bible that there is "but one mediator between Christ and man... Jesus Christ. No pope, individual is "infallible as God". That is blasphemous also. I am neither prodestant, presbiterian, or any of that. I am a believer of the truth, written for us in the Bible. Please don't be deceived by Satan!

I was on the computer and someone I didn't know instant messaged me. It was a 13 year old girl who saw a comment I made on another website. She told me she agreed with what I said and just seemed like she wanted to chat for a bit. I'm only 18, but I understand the value of experience and I respect older people. This 13 year old made claims like, I am smart, I'm not like everyone else, I'm advanced, I'm mature for my age. Does anyone else hate hearing the cry of "I'm special!!!!!" without seeing any proof? I would just like to see other people's opinions. I'm not saying that all younger people are dumb or anything of that sort. But basically I think that if you say something, you've got to back it up, or else it has no meaning.
there is a lot of other disturbing things that she was saying like how she likes older men and would date a MAN as old as 47. What self respecting man would date a 13 year old. come on. really. after about 21 or so, i agree that perhaps "age ain't nothin but a #"

Besides the genes, is there something that gives a mouse its typical "mouse-ness"? Isn't the expression of a certain set of genes something that results in a mouse? When those genes change over generations (which we can observe) is there some binding factor that keeps a species like that mouse within 'mouse-like' bounds?

Of course most of the changes are extremely small from generation to generation; large changes in one generational leap are often a fatal mutation. But many small changes over countless generations (and we're talking billions of years here) will lead to extremely big changes. What we conveniently call 'species' are snapshots in time. Snapshots of genes traveling and changing; some gene-set combinations are successful; others disappear. All change over time; and there is nothing to prevent them from changing under the pressure of a changing environment.

I contend you already have accepted evolution; you just haven't realised the scope of your acceptance yet.

I have been assigned a project on the persecution in Chechnya.
I actually do not have any clue whatsoever of what is going on in Chechnya.

If anybody could give me just a slight background on what exactly happened or is still happining in Chechnya. And a website might be useful too.

Thanks!

Can Frosty the Snowman's holly, jolly soul still get into heaven even though he was brought to life by magic. I do not know if Frosty has a religion, however, he seems like a good guy and has a moral and monogamous relationship with his wife.

Yesterday, there was a message on our phone for my son, and he also rec'd the message on his cell phone. They claimed to from U.S. Bank (where he does have an acct.) and wanted some financial information and left a phone number. He called but did not give them any info. He then called his "real" bank and no one from there had called him. Had to be a scam. Watch out for this one.

Also, how some "christian" holidays didn't start out that way. Not limited to these things this is just an example but I would like to see someone that has truly studied it and done a lot of research.

correct me if im wrong, but after those words, thou shall not kill, does it specifically say HUMANS? Or just, thou shall not kill? Because that could imply not killing ANYTHING. Maybe vegans have the right idea but not eating meat or buying animal products, maybe they are the only ones following that actual commandment.

On the flip side, sure we need food, So thou shall not kill, except to feed yourself. How about all those people who kill for sport. Im pretty positive, that hunting is very very popular among the christian community, and less popular among the non christian community

So where does Thou Shall Not Kill end?

War? Thou shall not kill unless your defending yourself, or your country

Hmmm, looks like its open for more interpretation than some like to think.

Ok...what about embryonic insemination? (sp big time) She would still be a virgin (up until the birth since she didn't have sex, right? Perhaps I'm wrong in reasoning here, and if so, then you guys get free two points.

I know that there was no such thing during those times, but perhaps aliens, Atlanteans? Who knows? But perhaps that's the answer to the "mystery" of the virgin birth? Just wondering.

All serious answers welcomed, all sarcastic answers will be luaghed at (if funny) and all mean answers, will probably be laughed at as well.

This is regarding any language that you are learning -

How much does one need to know to be considered at different language levels i.e.

When does a beginner become an upper level beginner - How much do they know at that stage?

When are you considered to have reached the intermediate level? What do you know by then? How about upper intermediate?

And finally, advanced; when are you considered at an advanced level of language learning; what do you know by then?

How much time on average do you think you spend on each of the levels? Time can be anything - studying, exposure to the language, whatever you want to define it as.

Thank you for any relevant opinions.

so I have this book full of buddhist quotes and one of them is talking about letting each moment be rather then judging it for instance "I'm not good at this, this is boring, this is fun etc.." it's saying to just let it be a moment. My question is how can you enjoy each moment if you don't enjoy each moment well the good ones anyways, like if we just act like robots and accept each moment neither enjoying or not enjoying it then whats the point and how do ever look back on fond memories then. I love reading these things but it just seems sometimes you should enjoy certain moments rather then just letting them be you know what I mean, I know not all moments are enjoyable but the ones that are miserable help us to appreciate the good ones. Does this makes sense. I just am not sure exactly what is meant by not judging it, if you feel happy in a certain moment then you have already subconsiously judged it, have you not?
