If parts are symbolic or allegory, then by definition it's not fact. How does modern Christianity judge which parts are symbolic and which aren't, especially considering the fact that there is no scientific or archaeological evidence to support any biblical story?

Do you really believe that evolution suggests that one day an ape gave birth to a human being? Or is that just a strawman?

If it's a strawman, is it a strawman that you use to debunk evolution, or is it a strawman that "evolutionists" use to make your argument look dumb?

Thanks.

"I have Jesus in me" or "I have Jesus in my heart", is frequently stated by many Christians who are almost always sincere in their living faith. However, our Master Jesus Christ is his own Person here in Spirit; and He knows infinitely more as our loving and merciful Creator Father God than any one human or a million trillion humans that He has made and is still making in our universe. Carried too far, some disciples of Jesus think that they are the only Authority of Jesus on earth -- such as the Catholic "Pope" concept.

How do you sincere Christian believers see Jesus and you here and now in this Living Relationship?

Thank you for all sincere answers in Jesus' Spirit of Truth ! (See John 16:7-16)

Peace and progress into all Truth !

Last night at the post office, I gave the guy 45 cents for a stamp (that's 41 cents) and I asked for my change after he closed his register.

Then he went back in and gave me the 4 cents. Hey, its the principle.....Mailmen get gratuity now?

He said "You can put them in your piggy bank"

I said "Yeah" with a serious look.

Am I taking it personally?

A Franciscan and a Dominican were debating about whose order was the greater. After months of arguing, they decided to ask for an answer from God when they died. Years later, they met in heaven and decided to go to the throne of God to resolve their old disagreement. God seemed a bit puzzled about the question and told them he would reply in writing a few days later. After much deliberation, God sent the following letter:

My beloved children,

Please stop bickering about such trivial matters. Both of your orders are equally great and good in my eyes.

Sincerely yours,

God, S.J.

Here's a scenario
----------
Christian: "According to the Bible (Matthew 7:7 - 'Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.'), if you honestly and wholeheartedly seek God/Jesus, you will find Him.

Non-Christian: "I wholeheartedly and honestly sought God/Jesus, and didn't find him."

Christian: "If you had, you would have found Him. Therefore you didn't seek wholeheartedly and/or honestly, so are a liar for saying you did."
----------
Christians - Do you feel the Christians attitude towards the non-Christian is justified in this scenario? Is outright calling the non-Christian a liar justified?

Non-Christians - How would you respond to the Christian if they told you you were a liar? Would it have any effect on your view of the religion as a whole?

Some parents shelter their children from the evils in the world.

e.g. TV, bad-influence friends, neighborhood kids, public schools, even church activities.

Do you think this is right, why or why not?

Okay, I know some of you were just getting accustomed to my conversion to Judaism, but that is so........yesterday. Today, I have converted to Islam. It is a grand religion with a long history of peace and love and devotion to science. However, I like to do my morning prayers in my driveway, and , well, Jack B lives in the house just west of mine, and I have to bend down to the east and it interrupts my prayers having to look over my shoulder all the time to make sure he isn't sneaking up on me. Should I erect a Jack B proof fence between our houses?
