It really bothers me when they take stuff like the Pledge of Allegence out of schools just because it mentions God in it. Just because some stupid people didn't like it they got rid of it. Those people didn't have to say it. They could've just sat quietly! You can't pray anymore in school either all because of people not believing in God. Well they don't have to pray! They should just let others do what they want and worry about them selves.

Amen, That is a good poem, and it saddens me that all the stores do this, and they want to sell to us, I say we boycott them when they don't say Merry Christmas, or they take the meaning out of it, Turn it around on them, because The Whole reason for the holiday is Jesus, not shopping thier stores.

Nothing is preventing you from saying "Merry Christmas" it's just that public places (like Sears, etc.) are using "Happy Holidays" since there ARE people who have different religions (le gasp) and if they say "Merry Christmas" and nothing else, it would probably make them shop somewhere else. I do not recall anyone promoting Kwanzaa in commercial corporations however. And December 25 IS just a holiday, it's a holiday to you, and to everyone. Not everyone celebrates Christmas, love. And if you wish to shout "Merry Christmas" then fine by me and the government, just don't push it on others. As for schools, people say "Merry Christmas" there, have Christmas parties, etc. I even participate in them (I'm atheist) hell...it's free food and drink, right? As for taking your God out of everything, it's the right choice, best to be secular. How would you like it if the Hindu's rose up and started pushing THEIR beliefs, THEIR laws, as OUR laws? Would you like it? Or would you take it like the rest of America is? I wonder....so stop your whining and enjoy the holidays...that's right, I said "holidays"

Say Merry Christmas all you like. Children can talk, sing, and otherwise discuss "Christmas" in schools. It is a violation of the guidelines to post stuff you got in an e-mail.

BIG TIME EDIT

Dearie, ALL public school children in the state of Indiana are in fact FORCED to say the Pledge and observe 30 seconds of silence every morning. Many other states have similar laws.

Stop whining and believing the myth that "god" has been taken out of schools. You clearly have no clue what you are even upset about.

Please, tell me that my students do not say the Pledge every morning or that they can't pray!

I'm 100 percent with you. I think they NEED to have Merry Christmas on everything. If anyone gets offended by it then oh well that's there problem to deal with not ours who does believe.

Atheists are terrified that if their kids sit too close to a Christian kid at school, and hear him or her praying, or singing, or praising God, that their precious progeny might catch some sort of horrible virus, and become rabid evangelists....

They have to protect their tender little ones from the horrible ravages of Jesus Christ...they just MIGHT learn to love one another...

EEEEEEEK!!

Satan came to Christ in the desert trying to make Him kneel promising the world and such. He didn't fall. He raised.
Satan came to Christians in the big cities trying to make them kneel, promising the world and such. What are they doing?

In order to keep they're jobs, they're bank owned houses and they're image, they shut up and are about to sign a peace treaty: kneel in exchange for the world. Yet they were told: "love not the world" (1 John 2:15)

Christmas was a holiday long before it became Christian. It's merely returning to its roots.

Nobody is preventing you from saying "Merry Christmas"

Instead, businesses have decided to use the more inclusive "Happy Holidays" in an effort not to ostracize customers.

Stop reading the tabloids.

Nobody is "trying to take you faith away". Read the first amendment. You're welcome to your beliefs, however, you just can't legislate them. Tell me that you'd be happy if US currency said "In Allah we Trust"...? Didn't think so..

You're an egregious hypocrite.

Get.

A.

Clue.
