Here's an equation that demonstrates how I understand this:

Belief in God + Doing bad things = Heaven

Nonbelief in God + Being a good person = Hell

Why does such an omnipotent God care so much whether we believe in him or not? With all the "love" that he supposedly preaches, why doesn't he place more value on treating others right?

Picture it. We're at a restaurant with some friends. They are more my husband's friends than mine. We have finished the meal and have the checks in hand. The server has stopped serving us water or coffee. Gently and out-of-sight, I tap my husband's knee, as an indication it is time to go. He does nothing, so a few minutes later, I say "Are we ready to leave?" Later, not in front of our friends, he excuses me of being rude and trying to rush our lunch. I tell him that lunch was over and it is common courtesy to leave soon after you get the checks so the restaurant can fill the table with other patrons. What do you think?

Are many perhaps mistaken, by thinking grace and law?
Can such "contrary" things even ever co-exist in peace?
Does the grace Noah found perhaps have partiality?
Is there any respect of persons (partiality) with God?
Why does it clarify "that God" did not impute sin?

To wit, "that God" was in "Christ" reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them: 2Cor 5:19.

Do you see any connection between SINS committed by ADAM and EVE, SINNERS are those NEW BORN CHILDREN born in SINS who cant even think about committing a SIN and the price is paid by a THIRD PARTY FREE of SINS named JESUS??

I'm wrong to understand christianity that way??

What about any connection between JESUS-LOVER to be GOD-NEGLECTED and JESUS-HATERS to be GOD-CHOSEN?

now this is a generalized question, and i am POSITIVE that not all muslims hate jews and vice versa. however, i have seen a lot of hate videos of muslim "preachers" (sorry, don't know the correct term) expressing how much muslims hate jews and how bad jews are. i have not seen any jewish videos along this line, but perhaps they also feel this way about muslims. so i guess, 1) why do muslims hate jews so much? 2) what started this hatred? 3) do jews hate muslims just as much? 4) do jews broadcast this hatred somewhere that i have just never seen? seriously, i am just very curious as to how all this started....

If the US had been founded by Buddhists, would you be happy to let Buddha's name appear on currency and be part of the Pledge of Allegiance?

Even though you were still free to practice your beliefs, would it bother you to see "Buddha" all over everything, or to have to acknowledge Buddha in order to pledge allegiance to your country?

"But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity." (NASB)
Micah 5:2
http://bible.cc/micah/5-2.htm

How can someone's origins be from "the days of eternity"? Doesn't this point to someone being born who is not merely human? I wonder how the Jewish people interpret this verse?

Did anyone who hates an entire group of people based on news stories ever go and get the right information for themselves? I mean, not just watching a computer screen, I am talking about getting to know people and going places you have heard about?

Well, I'm a stubborn person and I'm also a determined person. I don't give up. I can't, it's not in my blood. I just came back from Pakistan. I was there since October 8th. I went for many reasons, but the main ones were to show that it's not what the news says it is. I was there when Emergency rule was imposed, and you know something? The people just went about their daily routines. They did their grocery shopping, they had their outings, and didn't think twice about this American woman. As a matter of fact, many of them gave me gifts and wanted to know more about our country. They have the impression from CNN that we as a country hate all of them. This is what our news shows. Have you ever done something to prove a point?

It seems intuitive to me that a language would have both regular and irregular verbs. But I have always wondered why it is that Spanish, for example, developed 3 regular conjugations ( -ar, -er, -ir). The quick answer is that these were inherited from Latin, but how did Latin come to have four conjugations? For that matter, why did Latin have 5 different regular noun declensions?

It's hard for me to imagine this being a natural course of evolution for a language. Multiple forms of irregularity strike me as something to be expected. But it seems almost an oxymoron to say we have multiple ways to do things "regularly" :)

Does this reflect a merging of different ancient indoeuropean languages? Or is there an explanation which parallels biological evolution, in terms of "mutations"? Or is this a question that's "out there" in the realm of pure speculation?
