Yes! It's wonderful. Most of the people in this little town decorate for most holidays, with Christmas being the most festive time of year.
I think I will make up the chocolate chip cookies today. Others have been done and frozen for a while now. And it's time to wrap a few more gifts. I take my time with each one, so it takes me a long time.

The tradition was that decorations went up on Christmas Eve
(the run till taking them down on Jan 6th gave "The Twelve Days of Christmas") but that's pretty much a dead idea now, it seems.
If Christmas is over on New Years Eve... counting back 12 days, the decorations should go up on the18/19th Dec.
That would feel OK.
As you can gather, mine aren't up yet. But due to neighbourhood pressure, I'll be expected to do *something* soon,

Yes, my decorations went up day after Thanksgiving and my tree went up on Saturday, the 1st. Happy Holidays!

Just finished! This is my boyfriend and I's first Christmas living together so we had to start from scratch and buy the tree, lights and decorations. I just finished yesterday and the house looks beautiful!

I have just just dragged the tree in from the conservatory. My B/F bought one plus lights for us this year so it has to be special as we have been apart for a time and have just got back together again.

I put up the outside decorations the day after Thanksgiving. - All my neighbors copied us and put up their decorations the next day.
The inside decorations went up December 1st. -
