How woud you feel knowing it doesnt hold a drop of water in the US?
Would you have a ceremony, invite your friends and family to join you on your big day? Do it because thats what the two of you want regardless of the current state and federal laws ignoring your commitment, and maybe buy that term life insurance, sign those health care proxys, and so on, in hopes that would be enough to protect each other when it came down to it? Resume life as partners in one anothers eyes? In the eyes of your friends and family?

Or would you accept the ring, and lie and wait until the day you know your commitment means something in the eyes of US law? While you wait, in the meantime, would excepting that ring only make you angry and hurt inside, knowing you cant have what some of us have dreamed of since a child.
Would this not scream second class citizens to you?

What would you do? How you feel, act, react?
Would you propose or would you say yes?

Before you go off the deep and say absolutely not, no religion in school, separation of church and state, blah, blah, blah, then consider this. Harry Potter is on the list, it teaches of Witchcraft and sorcery. Do you say ‘that’s fiction’ so it doesn’t count’? How many of you say the very same thing about the Bible, that it is ‘fiction written by bronze age bigots’. Are you ready to tell the Witches on here that their religion is ‘fiction so it doesn’t count’? Or Look at ‘His Dark Materials’ series, which start with ‘The Golden Compass’. It’s on the reading list, and it deals in religion from start to finish. Aren’t some being a bit two faced with this one? Bare in mind, the bible is not on said suggested reading list, it almost always draw a hateful response from many teachers, and it almost never will receive a fair grade. So who is REALLY pushing their religion into the schools? Be honest now

2007-12-04 05:11:19 · 15 answers · asked by Becky 5 in Religion & Spirituality

Why is it that people that are Black and Asian only considered Black but a person mixed White and Asian can be considered either White or Asian?

Why the big difference? Growing up I would embrace both sides of my cultures but used to get shot down because I obviously look Black.

I had friends who were White and Asian and they would claim either White or Asian and would be able to embrace both cultures without criticism.

Can I get some feedback about this?

And for note: if your answer will be rude and mean, then please dont answer at all.

Today, I have learned that

-The Sun was too big for water to have existed on earth 20 000 years ago.
-Mutations were never observed - ever.
-A great majority of paleontologist fudge data.
-DNA replicates perfectly (Didn't seem to cross their minds two animals are involved in sexual reproduction).

Plus, they present this and then act all proud, like it's supposed to pose a serious challenge to the scientific community.
I would love to see these asked in the biology section to see what the hard-core students of genetics would answer.
Or is it just sad?
