It used to cause I was in an unhappy situation and now I am so care free. Christmas will never again stress me out. I , for the first time in years, will be enjoying this one.

Yes, I do. I hate just about everything about Christmas nowadays. It's far too commercialized. My most stressful Christmas was when the in-laws were coming over. Everything HAD to be perfect. In hindsight I don't know why, because I never could please my MIL. I'm glad I don't have to do that again.
It also bugs me when I have to play the hostess, be polite and courteous (even when I have a headace and really just want people to go home), deal with decorations and trees, do a major housecleaning, plan menus, and be Santa-freakin'-Clause all at the same time. I am sooooooooooo not doing the Christmas thing this year. It's going to be nice and quiet around my house. Just hubby and me. I think I'll have a long hot jacuzzi bath on Christmas Eve. Yeah. That sounds nice.

Not at all.. I have used the start early method for a few years now so I can enjoy the month of December with friends and family and not feel broke. I buy all my Christmas wrap and cards in January when they are on sale for nothing.. then I start in June/July and pick up things as I see them.. usually done shopping by November 30th.. then it's all about spending time, baking.. and making memories in December. Good luck and Happy Holidays!

Yes, I think it is only normal. So much to do and so little time. You have to just try to focus on priorities, and don't get caught up in the rush to go nowhere! I believe so many people just do things out of routine and don't think about what they are doing or the true meaning of Christmas. I don't gifts have to cost a lot, but should come from your heart with meaning attached.

Not really. It's stressful when it comes to being on a budget and having to buy Christmas gifts, but I always seem to manage my money pretty well. I love decorating, spending time with my family, spending time with my boyfriend's family, exchanging gifts and eating two delicious Christmas dinners!

Big time. You run around to find that perfect gift for family and friends and then there is all the baking, wrapping of the gifts, getting the holiday decor up, getting the cat back out of the Christmas tree a million times, running around for the last min gift and then running back out because you thought you had enought tape to wrap 12 gifts and to come to find out you have 2 bits of tape left so back out you go.
Then running around to family memebers and praying they liked what you bought them and remembering you forgot your Aunts gift at home.
The funny thing is, is when the 26th of Dec. comes I always wonder why I was so wound up...it's all over with. Poof, thats it, all done and now you have to find room for your new gifts.

In a way yes.
Buying presents for everyone is the most stressful.
I love Christmas day, but not too happy about the run-up to it!

incredibly so! i can never afford to get my children even half of what they would like to have. some years i am lucky to afford 1-2 small presents each. it really hurts. sometimes it really pains me when they would rather go to a friend's house to play because they have more stuff than have a friend over our house. i recall the embarrassment i felt when i was a child and all of my friends had cool stuff when i had nothing. i know now that my mom did everything she could, but i still hate to put my children through that embarrassment!

No. I love the holiday season. It is pressing on the pocketbook, but that is not the true reason for the season, so my stress is very low.
