A cult is not a religion. Thats why they are two separate words.
But since you insist of believing it is...
Taking the consequences of one cult, and appplying them to all religions, is very much like watching a black man commit a crime, and then saying all black men are criminals.

You can't tar all religious people with the same brush, and to do so displays the kind of ignorance shown by these cults. There are some religious people who don't shove it down people's throats, and who are made better people by having religion in their life. A well-known example would be Mother Teresa.

If you really want to make a fuss, make a fuss about those people trying to integrate religion into politics. It has no place in politics.

During the worst century of the Crusade (the 11th), historians place the deaths caused by religion was about 900,000 - Muslims, Jews and Christians.

During the 70 years of atheism in the USSR, historicans place the death toll at about 189 million. (Not counting Red China, North Vietnam, North Korea, and Cuba). The atheist get more that a 20:1 kill ratio victory over religion.

You believe in a kind of fringe explanation -- which is okay.
There is no evil perversion of religion ( by evil spirits, by people acting wrong by free-will, etc.) and everybody who purports to worship God and seek truth is in fact. Ergo, all this crap comes from a religion working according to form.
WOW !!!

...Finish your thought - more than what?
...Hitler? Stalin? Arsenic? Boiled okra? The atom bomb?
...And nope, I sure haven't read anything about it.
...You might want to do a re-count, since millions died in the WW1 and WWII, due to hunger, starvation, Hitler's and Stalin's annihilations of people, etc.
...What evidence do you provide for/against "religion"? And are you saying we should then wipe out religion - and replace it with what?
...Wipe out religion and faiths, and society will come tumbling down.
