I was born in 1984, and i don't ever remember seeing any animals "adapt" or "evolve". ducks are still ducks, dogs are still dogs, people are still people...
If it hasn't happened in 23 years, how do you think it could have ever happened?
you guys are so narrow-minded...

There has been a huge amount of evolution in your lifetime my friend. The less complex an organism the faster it evolves. So of course complex animals won't evolve visably. But do a little research into bacterial evolution and viral evolution. Bacteria can evolve into an entirely new organism and most visuses also can evolve in a matter of minutes to hours. Really now, that's a mighty basic question.
Why these Christians throw around the 'evolved from monkeys' quote I dunno. Quite obviously there has been several evolutions of man, skelital remains have proven this. But most of those races split, evolved, and then died off, cro-magnum man was not a 'monkey' he was a species unique to himself. Obviously if we evolved from monkeys then why do monkeys exist?

You are obviously a perfect case of evolution. Stupidity takes more than 23 years to evolve into intelligence. You are simply stuck in the low end of a long-term evolutionary process. Perhaps, after many generations, your children's children's children will demonstrate intelligence. If so, they will have you to thank for paving the way for them to evolve from stupidity to knowledge.

i think we adapt to our surroundings... and it takes more than 23 years to adapt as a whole species.... as well as evolve from one form to the next, more intelligent life form.
how do you think cats came about??? they are domesticated lions and tigers maybe.... I have my own doubts about "evolution" but i believe that adaptation occurs...
my theory of evolution is that we came to earth (by God) as many different species... then we branched off into different, more intelligent species, leaving the original behind... but then those eventually became extinct.
not saying what you believe is wrong or anything... but i believe we are sort of evolved... and we are still evolving. look at our technology! more advanced in those first 23 years of your life don't you say??? i think so...
yet... ducks are still ducks, yes.. people are still people, yes (some smarter and some are freaking idiots)... but who is to say that won't change... HELLO!

I believe in the bible... and I know that evolution is a part of growth and development. It hasn't happened in 23 years... no kidding. That's almost absurd. I do NOT however, believe that humans evolved from monkeys. It's not evolution if the species we supposedly evolved from is still around...
the guy below me is putting false scriptures... you don't have to do that... how about genesis 1:1 in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.

Well I was born in 1982, and I've NEVER seen a magley evolve. You must have popped right into existence several months ago when I first encountered you on R&S. In 25 years, I've never seen you before then, so it MUST be true.

For someone who never got laid, Darwin has an awful lot of surviving descendants. And I could easily send you oodles of links to photos and anecdotes about how human most scientists are. But I am not going to!

Evolution takes millions of years of adaption, mutation and natural selection.23 years is not enough time to see evolution in practice.

Got me.......
I guess I am going to have to rethink my position. Maybe all the scientists are conspiring against the religious.
I guess I am going to start re-believing in a God that Loves everyone so much that he is willing to torture a majority of them for eternity. And that plantlife did exist before the planets.
