That is an outrageous claim, and he was crucified for disturbing the peace among the Jewish community not for polygamy...
(well, and for our sins and all, but I mean legally that's why).

I have been a Mormon for 20 years and do not recall ever hearing that one. Mormons believe the Bible's explaination for why Christ was crucified. There are many who hate the Mormons and spread lies, distortions, and conspiracy theories about us. Others think they understand Mormon doctrine because of "what they've heard," but are actually misinformed. Sounds like this might be just another rumor going around about the Mormons. Very unfortuante.
Because God commanded Mormons to stop practicing polygamy in 1890, Mormons believe that modern-day polygamists are acting contrary to God's will. Even in cultures where polygamy is acceptable (some Muslim countries, for example), Mormons NEVER have more than one wife.

Well if you read the Bible you will see that He was crucifyed for the following accusations: Blasphemy (for saying He was God's Son, though He just hinted it), Calling Himself the king of the jews (hinted), and moving the jews to not paying taxes to the Romans (that was a lie for he said "To Ceasar what is his and to God what is His).
But we mormons don't think he was crucifyed for polygamy, if He was ever married it was surely with only one woman, but theres nothing in our beliefs that state that He was indeed married.

nope -
the Savior was crucified according to God's plan for our eternal salvation and exaltation.
It was carried out by wicked men who could not abide in the presence of the Son of God and so sought to kill him as they had done the prophets. The Sanhedrin had him arrested and charged with blasphemy [claiming to be the Son of God] and taken before Pilate who would not take a stand to save an innocent man[he washed his hands of the situation and let the jewish mob decide the Savior's fate].
The atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ was completed as he hung in agony upon the cross at Calvary.
The Messiah was not crucified for polygamy

We dont practice polygamy, the people who do are not part of our religion. If you want to know what we believe regarding the crucification, read the Bible. We believe in the Bible too, and we use the King James version.

LOL!!!! NO!! We DO NOT believe this! Oh, this is tremendous!
We believe that Jesus Christ was crucified for the sins of mankind, that he died for our sins that we may return to live with our Father in Heaven.

The Romans allowed Him to be crucified because He was "guilty" of treason.
The Jews crucified Him because He was "guilty" of blasphemy.
He allowed them to crucify Him to fulfill the plan of salvation and overcome sin and death.

No there are no Mormons that believe that. It has never been taught. And we believe He has crucified for the same reason any other sensible Christian does.

No. We believe He was killed to fulfill the prophecy. That He is the savior of us all. It is only through Him that we gain salvation.
I believe He was killed because A- people were jealous of his popularity and didn't want to admit that He could be who He said He was. B- To up hold His end of the bargain with God- that He would be our promised Savior. C- To breaks the bonds of death for each of us. Through His death and resurrection, we can all live again. The grave holds sway over us but only for a short time. Because Christ was resurrected, we also can have that.
