I have been praying since I was 11...I'm 22 now..unfortunately no one in my house prays, except my younger sister who is 14.....My younger sis took up praying after watching me for several years...no one forced her or anything...i think you really need to get someone who can inspire u..someone u can look up too...and dont think soo much...dont be that hard on yourself....if bad thoughts come in your mind ignore them..after all its your mind, u have the strings....just pull em tight...and if u still cant help those voices..ask Allah for forgiveness....

oh i know what you mean some times the same thing happens to me and i never knew what to do i always made duah to allah so that i could understand what was wrong with me. then i asked my mom why it was so hard to pray and she told me that to be a good Muslim you need to do a lot of good deeds and read a lot of quran and you know just do a lot of Islamic stuff then your heart will feel closer to allah and you not only will be able to ignore the shatan when he tells you your too lazy to pray but you'll want to pray and you'll be sad if you miss a prayer. and some times if you just feel so lazy then say aouthou billahi min al shatan al rajim (that looks funny in english) anyway and the shatan will leave you alone but you'll still have to press your self to get up and pray it'll just be easier. inshallah this works for you. oh yea remeber you need to take little steps at a time you can't just suddenly get every thing you wish for and don't get dis hearted what ever you do.
ps- your pic with the hijab is awesome where did you get it?

Allah is testing your faith by allowing Satan to harass you. Stand upright, remain steadfast in prayer and practice regular charity, soon will Allah reward you with something special and Magnificent.
Guard strictly your 5 obligatory prayers (especially the middle prayer) and stand before Allah with a devout frame of mind.

Keep praying no matter what. If you breakdown you'll fail your test.

this is the shaytan, skip the voices! i know it is easy to say but try to do it just once, then you will be stronger for the second time and then again etc, really

the same happens when someone tries to make a wudhu (the voice comes and keep telling you that something is missing/wrong etc)

don't miss prayers, this is what the voice/shaytan wants.. first you miss them then you abandon them and etc AstagfiruAllah

Continue to make salat (prayer). Shaitan loves for us Muslims to not make salat.
It is a test from Allah.
Continue to make salat and consider any voice which tells you to disobey Allah as being from Shaitan.
Make tasbea (for example: Allahu Akbar, La illaha il lillah, etc) often.

If you are "trying" to pray then maybe your not fully commited. there may be just a little nagging part of you in your head and secretly, u know its there but dont want to accept it. I think you really need to fully decide whether u believe or not and especially focus on the reasons y not to believe, because by challenging ur religion, if u decide those challenges do not disprove ur God then this will enhance ur religious beliefs and ur nagging voice will go as u fully believe in ur religion knowing u hav luked at both sides of the argument and come to ur conclusion.

And also, dont try and force urself into religion by fear or comfort or anything, a God can see past that,

believe what u REALLY believe

Not what u really want to believe

Finally, u don't have to come to a complete conclusion, religions a big thing and u can fulfill or waste (woteva people believe) ur life by fully going into a religion.

I respect you your faith and prayer...Perhaps you're beginning to question your belief(s). If that's the case you may/might want to explore some other belief systems and see if one suits you more than Islam. I know from my spiritual experience that the journey is fraught with folks telling you what you should believe...In the end what you truly believe in your heart is what's RIGHT FOR YOU. Study some other faith's by googleing them and see if any have thoughts, ideas, practices you find interesting...Go check them out. FEAR NOT for the SPRITUAL JOURNEY IS AN INDIVIDUAL ONE! May the Bleessing's of Allah (Peace be Upon Him) rest upon you!
