think that they're converting anyone with these arguments? I mean, I find the 'Atheists, don't you know -insert argument- incredibly annoying and just makes me want to take 'em down.

Yes. I do believe that the Christians think they can convince people that their God is the only true one.

I agree...Atheist are adamant that they are right and give their reasoning. Religious people are just as adamant that they are right and give their reasoning. In the end, nobody is changing anybody's mind. I answer questions simply because I like to get my opinion out there, and sometimes it's interesting to see how other's react to what I have to say. Also, if a question can make me think, I enjoy it whether I agree with the asker or not.

When conversion is impossible, aggression rules the day.
Personally I came to R&S as an agnostic looking for evidence from believers to re evaluate my faith.
In turn the responses I got, caused me to re evaluate my agnosticism and become Atheist.
