Why do I feel this way?..Any ideas on how to get over it?..?
I have a friend who I have not spoken to in over 11 months now due to her lack of interest as a friend & questioning me on something she felt she did have to apologize for. I vowed unless she made the first move, I would not talk to her. But out of now where subtly apologized sending me a gift via online, a flower. She had no message with it. I resent her the same gift saying "Thanks for the flowers." We both are college students; live in different states. I do want to get back to talking to her via aim, as thats how we communicate best. But every time I get on,***** I can't seem to send her a message, I'm just afraid history will repeat itself. She also knows I'm available, but won't do the first move. *I never told her I was mad, I just ignored her on aim & eventually she got the hint, she so sent the gift as an apology to "amend" the friendship, *it's my take thats the logic behind it. Any ideas on how I should be with her/if I should do it ?.

So a bad person can believe in Jesus and be saved but a good person that does not believe cannot be saved?

Since it's the holiday season, I think we should be able to spend some of our YA points on gifts for ourselves. Just for fun (I wish it really worked) . . . what are you going to get yourself? Here's the "redemption catalog", start shopping:

I truly believe that most athiest or agnostic, what ever you want to call yourselves, have not tried the Lord. Just try God see if he dosen't change your life.

Why do people condemn those who believe in works? If someone has accepted Christ as their Saviour but also believes in works, does it really matter? They have already accepted the atonement. What is your biblical basis for saying that works are unacceptable? How does it matter one way or the other?

your cell phone or electronic dies?
or when you hear about the thousands of poor sickly human beings dying all over the world every day?

answer honestly. even if you just answer it in your mind. just something to stop and think about. i see and hear so much complaining from people every day.. in real life, but especially on tel-LIE-vision. when are people in this country going to stop for a second and realize that there are more important things happening in this world than some silly situation going on in their own life? that question i know will never be answered..

did any of you guys read in the papers, about that young 21 year old girl who had given birth to two twins and refused a blood transfusion and died as a result, because of her religious beliefs, she still refused despite medics telling her that she would die,? i found this very hard to take in, how can a religious belief over power maternal instincts? and surely "jehovah" would forgive this poor girl, if she had that transfusion, for the sake of her and her new babies?

if there is any jehovahs reading this, what wud you do in this situation? would you choose your religion before your babies?? and die as a result?

what are your views on it?

Assuming for the sake of argument that a god exists, he has watched but remained silent and inevident through many thousands of years of war, rape, mass murder on a prodigious scale, agonising torture, unspeakable acts against the most innocent of children, burnings, dismemberment... an unimaginable catalogue of human suffering... so I was wondering, is there anything at all which would make him step in and say "enough is enough"? What scarcely conceivable horror would have to occur (or be about to occur) before he would come out of hiding and do something about it?

After some minor digging I found the original quote that the snippet above was mined from:

"I've been surprised by how little criticism I've got. Harry Potter's been taking all the flak. I'm a great fan of J.K. Rowling, but the people - mainly from America's Bible Belt - who complain that Harry Potter promotes Satanism or witchcraft obviously haven't got enough in their lives. Meanwhile, I've been flying under the radar, saying things that are far more subversive than anything poor old Harry has said. My books are about killing God."

Wouldn't have to take this extremely literally to assume that he actually admits that "killing God" is what his books are about? It seems to me that he's speaking about how misconceptions of certain fantasy novels exist, such as Harry Potter's promotion of Satanism/Witchcraft and his books' God killing events.

Your thoughts? Please think before you post.

They deny Gods authority on earth (the catholic church) and its teachings (evolution is scientific fact). Therefore, they are all heretics and doomed to eternal damnation......?

I tried posting this in another section with more details, but people missed the point.

A celebrity's "people" have said their client is being treated harshly in the court system because they are famous.

On the news an "expert came on and said "this person is not being treated harslhy beacause they are a celebrity. The judges are just under pressure to make an example of celebrities."

So if the person was not a celebrity wouldn't the judge not be trying to make an example out of them? And therefore not judging them quite so harshly?

he used the force to destroy the death star, became a true jedi master like his father before him, then defeated his father and redeemed him and killed the emporer who ruled over the evil empire that ruled the galaxy with an iron fist?

It all happened long ago in a galaxy far far away, how can't you deny that jesus is a jedi master?

the bible sounds like Bs. talking animals, 900 year old men, world floods, and all these miracles. sounds fake to me. thers no real proof that this ever happend. dont say if youdont believe your evil and ill go to hell. if God is so good why would he condemn his own "kids" to hell and suffering. why does "He let certain people go through sh*it forver! (dont remark my typos that doesnt affect my intelligence!) there are lucky people born and not-so-lucky! well why! ifyou just say just bleieve b/c its the rules theres still no proof.science and religion dont mix! the bible (fake book) always shows evidens\ce of"God" being angry and hating so many imperfectpeople who dont worship "Him" (and getnothing in return)! how ridiculous of me to be prey to this nonsence before.

IS IT REAL? give valid proof!
