im not sure i mean i would love to say i believe in life after death, or just another world we enter when we die but its hard to say if its true or not i mean if you go out to a party or to a gig you come back home and say wow guys that was amazing, when someone dies do they come back and say wow this place is amazing so if heaven is so great why not, also i dont believe in fate i like to believe i am in control of my own life, so if i werent then that would mean either the devil or god would be controlling us, and i dont believe that to be real neither, mind you then again i have people say you cant see air but it exists, and we know that much its so hard to say we will never get the questions, and the reason for that is because there is no answer to give so i dont believe in the devil or god or any other type of religion, untill i see 100% concerete proof that there is something out there im staying with my suggestion 100% sorry people, but we have free will well about 10% free will the goverment owns the rest, and im keeping that 10% just for my beliefs thank you

a christian invention?, well the modern image anyway.
used to blacken the image of older Pagan gods. Accusing them of being the devil. Many of the old so called horned gods, pre-date the arrival of christanity in their part of the world.
Most of them were gods of Forest or Field
Gods of the Hunt. With a few Fertility deities.
The Pagans have dark gods too, which is technically what the Devil is.
Lucifer - literally means the bringer of light - Sounds a bit like the old Greek/Roman gods the one who gave man Fire.
Interpreted to mean Knowledge. Just another story that features in older religions
That is just one name the church gave the devil, some of the others have older origins too
The devil is one minor dark christian god, i don't really think about. There are other scarier things of the physical world to worry about.

Yes. Believing in the devil comes kind of hand in hand with believing in God.

I don't actually believe in a guy with horns and a forked tail, but I do believe that there are some very evil people in the world - murderers, terrorists, child molesters, etc., and they could be called devils or devilish

No, I'm a Pagan. The nature of my religion means that I don't have to have an evil counterpart for the divine; I don't believe in an purely good deity.

The devil is just as real as god is. The devil is the great deceiver. He will appear as a pleasant vision, not the red, horned being that mythology paints him. He will tempt you. That is when you need daily prayer to stay strong in Jesus. You are on my prayer list.

The idea of the Devil is a cultural concoction...purely mythological.
