In the Bible, God made an everlasting covenant with the Jewish people to give them the land of Israel forever. In 2005, Bush decided to support the pulling out of Jewish people out of the Gaza strip to give to the Palastinians in exchange for peace. Bush seperated all those Jewish people from land that GOD gave them. He divided up holy land. One week later to the date, hurricane katrina struck our nation. The hurricane resulted in all these Americans forced to leave THEIR homes and go elsewhere. Coincidence? Is there a link between what happened in Gaza and Hurricane Katrina? Was this the righteous judgement of God?

Up until Darwins book the origin of species I think the design argument was the best. Evolution blew that argument out the water. Nowadays I think that the argument that DNA is too complex / contains to much information - to have formed by abiogensis therefore it must have been created by an intelligent designer. Of course this is just the old God of the gaps argument. I dont know therefore God. I dont even think this is a good argument but its the best I could come up with.

What say you?

that proves or disproves something doesn't that make it inconclusive rather than false? Webster defines inconclusive as "leading to no conclusion or definite result" and false as "not true" or "intentionally untrue." Just as those that believe in God believe this and are not spreading what they believe as "intentionally untrue", the same could be said by the atheist/agnostics who say that as of right now there is nothing "leading to (a) conclusion or definite result" for them.

So what I am trying to say, in an attempt to make each side happy with their position, can't the people that believe in God say that what we believe is not false (atleast to us) and the atheist/agnostics say that right now (atleast for them) the information is inconclusive?

I know that we are not able to understand God's immense knowlege of meaning. I keep hearing that God has bigger plans than one can see physically and shortly. But

Why do you do it? Somebody was telling me that you guys do it because you believe that children are a sin when they're born so you have to purify them. Is that true? To me that doesn't make sense (when children are born I believe that they're pure, what sin could they have possibly commit?) so can you give me a helpful link about this.

Matthew 16:27-- "For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works."

What is your interpretation of this passage?

I did a search for "judge" and "works" in the New Testament and this came up... along with Revelations 20:12,13...

I'm curious what people think of these passages, given the heavy emphasis many Christian churches give to the idea of salvation by grace and not works.

Today my pastor set me as a leader of a cell group. I was shocked because my pastor knows all of my faults. She knows I've been smoking for 2 years. She also knows about my parents getting remarried, which has been depressing me lately. Right now I know I'm a hypocrite, I am your typical hypocritical Christian, and I don't feel like I can lead people when I have so many faults. I know every person, and every Christian has their faults, but I doubt myself. She tried to encourage me, but I don't know if I can hold this leader position. I don't know if I should decline this position or not, and I'm wondering what I should do.

I know its been asked before but I still dont understand why Christians wont face the fact the pork is a sin to eat according to the bible..

In the book of Leviticus, Chapter 11, v.7, it is recorded that God declares the pig to be unclean for believers. Then, in verse 8, God says: ' You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you'. This command is repeated in Deuteronomy 14;7-8. Then, in Isaiah 65:2-4, and 66:17, God issues a stern warning against those who eat pork.
