I know its been asked before but I still dont understand why Christians wont face the fact the pork is a sin to eat according to the bible..
In the book of Leviticus, Chapter 11, v.7, it is recorded that God declares the pig to be unclean for believers. Then, in verse 8, God says: ' You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you'. This command is repeated in Deuteronomy 14;7-8. Then, in Isaiah 65:2-4, and 66:17, God issues a stern warning against those who eat pork.
if you just dont follow the bible, did you know the Pig is the most dirty animal that ever existed, they bisexual, they eat their own $hit and roll around in mud all day
yum...NOT

You are absolutely correct. Pork is unclean. The Pig is a scavenger of the earth. God did not create scavengers for human consumption. All animals are not edible. Many animals like pigs, vultures, shellfish etc, were created to keep our earth clean. They often eat anything and everything decomposed, and dead. Just watch them. God said these animals are unclean. No prayers prayed will make that which is unclean, clean.
Many Christians mis-interpret the meaning of the Old Testament dietary prohibitions found in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14. The New Testament did not remove these restrictions. Jesus, and his disciples as well as believers did not eat unclean foods. The account in Acts was not an approval to eat unclean animals. God use the vision to remind his servant not to refer to any Human being as unclean regardless of their nationality. The Vision had nothing to do with a new dietary law. Believers were careful in the New Testament to uphold the Old Testament Dietary Prohibitions established by God.
Pork is forbidden, as well as Catfish. These are all scavengers. They will mess up your internal, vital organs. Eat the clean animals and stay away from the unclean if you desire to live a long healthy life free of a debilitating disease.
Thanks for this question.

I would look a little farther on in the bible to Acts 10, v12-15 "Wherin were all manner of four footed beasts of the earth and wild beasts and creeping things and fowls of the air. And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call no thou common"
As a Christian I look at the Old Testament as the word of God in a day before Jesus came for salvation where a code of ethics was brought into being and a sacrifice system was brought into place where the sacrifices were looking forward to the sacrifice of Jesus.
Once Jesus came he broke the 'old covenant' or old laws to make a new one. In the new covenant the overriding law was to love God and to love your fellow man.
A full discussion of this topic would take way more lines than I have in Yahoo answers but I would sum it up like this:
If you look to the bible as a rulebook you've missed the point, its a guidebook.
In the story about the Good Samaritan the first two who left the man to bleed and die at the side of the road were following the words of the law in not touching an unclean man.
The man who broke 'the law' and helped the unclean man was the one who did as God intended.

I suggest you read Acts 9-16. Christian=of Christ. Keep in mind that the old testement verses that you mention are instructions to the Jews (as in the descendents of Abraham) not the Gentiles.

We aren't bound by the laws of the Old Testament anymore. Paul in the New Testament says that everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial. There are lots of things that we eat that are not beneficial, but they are not prohibited.

Christians don't live by the Old Testament rules, but, they use them to judge others with. They live by the New Testament.

All things are legal but not all things edify. It's not a sin to eat pork (or shrimp, shark, crab, lobster, catfish), but all those things are bad for you.

I just had, and I am telling you the truth, a ham and cheese sandwich with leftovers that were from Thanksgiving Day. MMmmmmmmmm.
It was tasty. And Do you know that vegetables and other crops are raised in cow poo and other things like chicken poo? It makes the vegetables grow better and taste better.
So while you are eating your non pork carrots, and lettuce, and beans, and tomatoes, and potatoes, and artichokes, and corn, and peas, remember:
without poo,
there's nothing to do.
Without poo, there's nothing to eat.
so Poo is for me,
and poo is for you.
Romans 14
1Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
2For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
3Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
