Many have written about these wonderful feelings of freedom. What they describe seems very similar to the feelings we have when we first get away from the authority of our parents.

My grandma is a strong Christian and she said that the Catholic version of the Bible is 'absolute rubbish'.

Will someone please explain the difference. Thank you.

I've been hearing this a lot, but how can it be known that he is everywhere, since it would be impossible to measure something that overlaps reality completely, how can religious people claim this as fact?

Many of my friends are atheist but it´s not unusual for them to say something like "I´m praying for a lottery win" or "I´m praying England will beat Croatia". Who are they praying to. They may say it´s just a figure of speech, but is it. What do you think?

When answering another question on Y!A about languages, it dawned on me that if ASL were used in other countries that it could be a universal language. Is it used elsewhere?

If satan is mans TEMPTATION towards SELFISHNESS.

Then a christian that is selfish is actually a satan worshiper?
even if he goes to church. right?

Is selfishness having a big house and a BMW while people are starving in the world?

dont you have to love your enemy
let them crucify you and pray for them
help poor people
and shun wealth

I know that it's not all of you but there are quite a few and its really anoying.

It takes some kind of faith to live, period. How about this one. All the other living things on the Earth have specific tasks or functions (if you will). Where do humans fit into this? I can see no connection. We are only at the top of the food chain but what purpose do we actually serve? I mean scientifically...we do not fit, do we? I only see that we serve as consumers but no real benefit to our environment.

I have spent one xmas eve stuck in a long line up of vehicles on the Rogers Pass here in BC Canada, with my sister, because a snow slide closed the highway. We were between two semis so we loaded up the truck drivers and drove back to the nearest town to get something to eat and get some coffee. Dont remember their names or what they looked like. One was from the US and one was from Ontario.

Spent another xmas on a greyhound bus, all the hwys were closed, just me and the driver. He was determined he was getting home for xmas morning, so he crossed the border, drove across idaho and back into canada. He drove me right to my parents door ! It was 5 AM when mom woke up to see a greyhound bus pulling into their yard, What a lovely man he was , we spent about 12 hours together. Even crossed on a little ferry that didnt usually take greyhound buses - winding through back roads in the middle of nowhere so he could be home for xmas with his family.
