Many have written about these wonderful feelings of freedom. What they describe seems very similar to the feelings we have when we first get away from the authority of our parents.

I'd feel very lost, much like a child who foolishly runs away from home.

yah your right

a lot people think that:

PERFECT FREEDOM IS RESERVED FOR THE MAN WHO LIVES BY HIS OWN WORK AND IN THAT WORK DOES NOT WHAT HE WANTS TO DO.

THE ONLY FREEDOM WHICH DESERVES THE NAME, IS THAT OF PURSUING OUR OWN GOOD IN OUR OWN WAY, SO AS LONG AS WE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DEPRIVE OTHERS OF THEIRS, OR IMPEDE THEIR EFFORTS TOO OBTAIN IT.

Freedom from fear and injustice and oppression will be ours onlly in the measure that men who value such freedom are ready too sustain its possession-

freedom is not merely a word or an abstract theory, but the most effective instrument for advancing the welfare of man.

but the reality is

no man is free who is not master of himself

when we lose the right to be different, we lose thhe privilege to be free,...

do you see the difference way of thinking of people who have no God,..
they do not know that:

THE CAUSE OF FREEDOM IS THE CAUSE OF GOD

It was about finally realizing that I was responsible for my own life. That meant that I had the ability and the responsibility to fix things that weren't going well, and to make the parts that I liked even better.

I tend not to think of it as a feeling of freedom.. more a burden of responsibility.

You will be amazed, you feel free because your "Life" is your life. not god not anybody's, but "Yours".

It's realizing that you own your life and you can handle reality just fine. No mysticism needed. And, it's realization that life is to be enjoyed, no original sin, no unearned guilt, no begging for forgiveness for enjoying sex.
