Cyrus the Great? That would be more interesting... can you provide historical evidence to support that theory?

I'm into history, so I would like to know who this Dhu Alkarnein would be

It could not be cyrus the great as he worshiped Marduk and was a polytheist.

As it is written on the Cyrus Cylinder:

"Marduk the great god, induced the magnanimous inhabitants of Babylon to love me"

"May all the gods whom I have placed within their sanctuaries and resettled in their sacred cities, address a daily prayer in my favor before Bel and Nabu"

NO this is a common misconception .. Dhul Quarnain mentioned in Qur'an is Cyrus the Great According to the vast majority of scholars.

EDIT: It was discussed in details here:

Not at all. Alexandar was called Greek God by his people. He is not known to have accepted Islam as religion even preached by Abraham or Moses. He lived long before Mohammad came as Prophet of Islam. There is no way he ever was Muslim

The quran never said Alexander was muslim, it only refers to a prophet called "Dhu Alkarnein" meaning (the man with double horns), this made medieval muslim scholars mistake him for alexander but there is no proof "islamic one" that they are the same person.
So answering yout question no not all muslims believe that, iam a muslim and i think it is unlikely
