All three religions believe in this, Satan is the motivator that's how some look at it...and others believe they are being tempted!

I know of no Christians that say Satan is a "G"od (with an upper case G) god? Satan is called the god of this present day world because of the lies and sin he sows. If evil is the absence of good and Satan does nothing actually good for humanity--Satan must be evil.

Christians do not say that Satan is "a bad God". Satan is not "a god". Satan is a fallen angel who rebelled against the one and only God. Evil is not simply the absence of good. There's more to it than just that.

Satan actually has no real power other than to deceive, and try to persuade you to rebel against God as he did. That part of your question is actually correct.....

For Satan to actually physically harm someone, he must have God's permission to do so first (this is Scriptural - check out the book of Job). Sometimes God will allow this on a limited basis for His reasons, not Satan's.

Evil is not simply the absence of good. Do you think good is simply the absence of evil? Both exist. They come from people, not from gods of any type. Satan is a name that people have devised to label evil. They also try to claim that satan is an independent force that can cause people to do its bidding. People have to make their own decisions and if they decide to do evil they themselves are to blame, not some entity called "satan".

Christians don't think Satan is or ever was a god or equal to the God of the bible. He was created as an angel but became proud and was put out of heaven. Evil is not an lack of good but a distortion of it. Satan has the power to deceive people by enticing then to find pleasure in things that are at first fun but then end up destroying peoples live like drugs and alcohol.

The absence of good and bad is basically apathy, because nobody is trying to be helpful or harmful. The existence of bad or evil is the malice of certain people. They are people with bad intent, those that are taught to treat others and others' property poorly.

In the Christian sense, the devil is a bad god, because Christians are taught that the devil causes so many evils. Everybody has failed to notice that, in most cases, no one person or thing causes peple to do bad things.

You need to take an opportunity to look beyond what has been implanted into your mind and see what really is. I am basically saying that you need to think for yourself every once in a while.

Satan has caused the death of ever offspring from Adam John 8:44;

Satan does not want any one to see the truth about him. 2Cor.4:3,4; 11:14; 1Pet.5:8;

Satan has 6130 years to make his mess of every single thing. [ Not age of earth or day and hour that only God knows ], Jesus has 1000 years to make all as new as before Eden and make everyone alive all the way back to Abel in the resurrection of the dead as the earthly for the new earth. 2Pet.3:13;
End of 1000 years. Rev.20:7-10; Satan and none like him remain.

You're exactly right. Satan has no real power. To attribute real power to him is to give the devil more than his due.
As a human, I can choose at any given moment from a limited range of choices which my mind can conceive and for which my circumstances allow. At best, I would say "satan" has the ability to "tempt" me by suggesting choices which might not otherwise occur to me (but then again they might). In truth, the old cartoon caricature of the devil sitting on one shoulder and the angel (i.e. conscience) on the other, is far more accurate than the idea of making satan into a demigod. Just my opinion.

Peace to you.

Satan was an angel. He was like the worship leader in heaven. His name was Lucifer. His body was covered in mirrors. He reflected the light (glory) that shone of of God. But, after being the reflector of the glory for so long he decided that he was just as good as God. So he said that he was bigger than God. God was not happy and he kicked him out of Heaven.

So no Satan is not a bad god, just a fallen angel.

He's more of a demi-god probably. He may even be considered not evil at all by some. He was just trying to give humans knowledge of right and wrong. Poor thing. Reminds me of the story of Prometheus giving humanity knowledge of fire, then being punished for it later. I don't believe in any of this or Satan, but it's interesting to to think about sometimes, the symbolism associated with it.

Christians would never call Satan a God.

Satan has limited power. I also believe that people are capable of evil without Satan's influence.
