that proves or disproves something doesn't that make it inconclusive rather than false? Webster defines inconclusive as "leading to no conclusion or definite result" and false as "not true" or "intentionally untrue." Just as those that believe in God believe this and are not spreading what they believe as "intentionally untrue", the same could be said by the atheist/agnostics who say that as of right now there is nothing "leading to (a) conclusion or definite result" for them.

So what I am trying to say, in an attempt to make each side happy with their position, can't the people that believe in God say that what we believe is not false (atleast to us) and the atheist/agnostics say that right now (atleast for them) the information is inconclusive?

I say it over and over again; God keeps the proof of Himself. He gives the proof to those who trust Him. He does not work miracles for the unfaithful. So the unfaithful have no proof, yet are constantly demanding it. They won't get it because they are asking on a horizontal plane, the proof lies in the vertical plane.

So there is evidence, they just don't have it. And God gives the evidence and proof to those who ask Him for it in trust.

Anyone can assume that there is no proof or evidence, God doesn't give it to them, so they are right, they did not receive it. But for those who trust Him, not only the evidence and proof comes to them, but a relationship with God for eternity.

I think that each side is ALREADY "happy with their position".

And, what I believe is not merely "not false" but TRUE. I put my faith and trust in the love and mercy of the one true God. I have entered into (accepted) the covenant of the New Testament for the salvation of my eternal soul and the forgiveness of my sins thru His Son, Jesus.

This is certainly NOT a "not false" part of my life.

Why in the world would I want to weaken the statement of my faith?

Most atheist truly believe that there is no God. So to them it is true. But it isn't to me. You may not have proof, but I have all the proof I need. God has given me all the proof I need. Others may not understand it, but it is true. No one knows my walk with God, so there for can not say that my faith is not conclusive. They have a right to not believe me, that is their choice, and I respect their right to do so. But that still does not make me wrong.

Fine, but you don't base the choices you make in your life on infinite possibilities, you base them on the data you have available.

If god was just a concept in peoples' heads, it wouldn't be an issue, but people try to impose their ideas of right and wrong on others, based on so-called instruction given to them from these unproven gods

I sorta agree with that.

But most of the stuff are arguments. In an argument you argue. Some people rather not argue, others love to.

Let's see . . . your belief in God is NOT false because you have proof and the atheist/agnostics beliefs are FALSE because information is inconclusive?

Nice try, but remember that no matter what Jesus said his critics were there in droves and asked him questions. Sounds like Y/A don't it?

Do you take the same approach in regards to claims of leprechauns? What about alien abductions? Big foot?

Is there nothing that you reject out of hand as absurd and obviously based on nothing of substance?

u have a very good point there but it wouldnt hold. Christians would use the Bible. That is the one thing that would disrupt that fragile argument. nice try tho.
