Would'nt it be fair to say that the Bible is just a guidline to live your life but cannot be taken litterally?

Where in the name does it say anything about a god?

Do they think Atheists have nothing to be thankful for? Or that we have no right to be thankful because we're not thanking some god? Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against people who pray to their gods on Thanksgiving, etc., but just because I'm not religious doesn't mean I think I'm "promised" everything I have. Thoughts?

Although my father is British and I have lived in the UK all my life, I have US citizenship through my mother...and I believe I will be tucking in to my first turkey dinner of the season tomorrow night....although it won't be my last...we are not doing the family thing until December 1st.

May I wish all US citizens everywhere a Happy Thanksgiving?

I try my best in life as a Roman Catholic I do not ask for or expect rewards but seem to get slapped in the face a lot. I'd love someone like a Priest,Vicar,Nun,Rabbi or Memsahib* (*huge appologies if I have spelt this wrongly!!) to say a few words of prayer for me.

Hi all, i want to make this years Christmas more special than normal, more fun and make it a good memory. We have all grown up now, over 16 so have lost the excitement of kids being around at Christmas ( by this i mean, when your a little kid Christmas is really special). ...interracial marriage?

I ask because I have been disowned by my father for announcing my atheism at age 11. That was 32 years ago, and we have no relationship.

My sister is disowned for loving a black man. The only man who has ever loved her unconditionally and treated her like a queen, and who would die for her.

My reasons for asking this are valid and sincere, as I cannot and will not ask my father.

I don't mean a certain religion, but the general concept of religion. I think belief can be a lot like love, because most times you can't have a logical explanation, but yet it takes over your entire life.
