If the number of births is exactly equal to the number of deaths, then how can God be pro-life?

Yeah, yeah I know Christ rose from the dead but not into a corporeal human, but a spirit which ultimately returned to heaven. Technically he wasn't re-born.

It is THANKSGIVING. It has a special and honorable meaning which is dissipated and lost in the colloquial term.

And, I am sure the turkeys who gave up their life for today, and the vegetarians don't particularly appreciate the term.

My family believes that we have been cursed. There are 6 members in my family and hispanic. We are pretty wealthy as my dad owns a oil tanker company in Panama and my mother owns two businesses up here in the States. He has to travel often but he administers well. However, lately things aren't working out. One of my dad's ships was held up by interpol for investigation. His client had been shipping contraband, apparently. Not my dad's fault. Another is that my mother's businesses are at risk for being shut down. Not her fault either. I have a sister and two little brothers and we are all having severe depression for no apparent reason. There are plenty more issues, these are just the most recent.

I just need your views and ways to get rid of this. Is it spanis "Brujeria", voodoo, or something else?

Don't reply if you all you're gonna say is "it's not real."

My husband and I are making home made pizza for Turkey day tomorrow instead of turkey. Its just the two of us and turkey is overkill and we have to eat turkey for weeks so we love pizza so we are making gormet pizza that takes serveral hours to prepare. Our families think we are weird do you?

For the past three days, the number 666 has been appearing every where I look. I'm NOT looking for it but an unknown phone number has been appearing on my cell with the last 3 digits of 666. It seems to me that there are many different messages being preached and taught in churches today and the true Gospel of Jesus Christ is rarely taught. Today it seems most churches preach decisionism, prosperity, how to become a better person, how to work your way to earn salvation, how to aviod the fires of hell, and how to get that free ticket to Heaven. Very rarely do you hear messages about repentance, turning away from the wrong doings of the world, becoming a New Creation in Christ and being led by the Spirit. I have been learning Greek and my first translation project is on the book of Galatians. I have also done historical, cultural studies on the first century when this was written. I found that the message Paul wrote to the Galatians is what we need to day. Many churches have deserted the true Gospel and have been lured to other messages. Does anybody know what I am saying? What are your thoughts?

where does the chain of intelligent designers end? if you're not going to evoke god into the discussion of intelligent design, you must reason that even the designer had a designer. and his designer had a designer as well. and so on an so forth. so where does the chain end? is it logical to assume that something as complex as an intelligent designer either just happened out of nothing or always existed?

People use this word alot in here, and it is most often used as if everyone agrees that there is only one of these, and they all ascribe the same attributes to it.

I doubt everyone has the same definition of god. Sooooo, when someone asks "do you believe in god", what do the mean?

I assume they mean the god of the bible, but I could be wrong.
