and before you say, it is God's job to judge, it clearly says, "put to death." God will judge them....but after we righeous Christians put him to death!!
..or is the bible not to be literally translated? if thats the case, can we just toss it?

I can't, I'm too busy mixing a potion to see if my girlfriend's cheating on me (see Numbers, chapter 5).

No thanks, first I'd have to be in slavery for 400 years, then go out into the desert with a bunch of people and wander around for 40 years. While we have some desert in Texas, I don't think I'd make it that long.
Oh wait, you thought those laws were applicable to a person in the 21st century who has access to things those folks in the desert didn't have. Like jails to hold drunken idiot children. Or like knowledge that cooking a crab live keeps it from being poisonous to your system. Or antibacterial soap once you've touched blood. Stuff like that. Sorry, I thought you were from here and now, not back then. Sorry.

You must have missed that GOD was amongst the Israelites in the desert. A theocracy is just that! Besides, this shows that GOD's Commandments were to be taken VERY SERIOUSLY!
GOD bless

Be patient, I'm sure someone will "correctly" interpret this bible passage for you so that you don't do something crazy. I hear it's all about the interpretation, and normal people (atheists) can't do it right because we are too dumb or just not imbued with the spirit.

Jesus did not come to abolish the law, or the prophets, but he came to fulfill.. he fulfilled all our requirements to the law that we might die to the law after being born again, that means Jesus fulfilled our requirement to punish breakers of God's law, before he came then it was our responsibility. but now he has come, and has taken our responsibility upon himself..

That is Mosaic Law, dear one, and it has been fulfilled by Christ.
Try asking a question that is in the New Covenant.
God bless!

Shouldn't you be calling on Jews instead? Jesus fulfilled the law so that we no longer need to handle sin this way. You're about 2,000 years late.
