Because it's a load of crap. God is the expression of people who want to believe in more than themselves. If a omnipotent being created us, he screwed up. We just want to feel good about ourselves. We are not different than monkeys or snails. Just a bit "smarter."

No one could ever equal Him, that's why there is no other God. God isn't lonely. There are 6 billion people in the world!

Maybe he did and maybe he continues to. Are we not the children of God and does not a perfect parent want his children to become like him?

John 10
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken

John 3
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Hmm, here's a theory:
God exists, but doesn't relly know where he came from.
Therefore sets into motion the world, life.
As life evolves God watches, to see if the end result of evolution produces God again...
think about it...

I think he did , that's why they refer to so many other gods in the OT. Funny for a monotheistic religion how many mentions of other gods the book makes.

He did, but mankind had to learn humility... to learn to trust and obey their creator.

So we are... and it is within our daily act of submission and trust in Him that we connect once again to His divinity. God's Children have access to everything God has and is through the Salvation that He has provided.

Remember, that the divinity is in the humility... if there was no God to pay homage to, what perfect being could we bow before and worship?? How could we complete and restore ourselves to oneness and to divinity?

---Impossible without loving God and humbly accepting God's sacrifice for US.... it is Yeshua.

Christians believe in a triune God. God the Father, God the Son (Christ) and God the Holy Spirit.

When Christ claimed to be God, it angered many and they crucified Him on that account.
