they are working to change CHRISTMAS
ACLU
125 Broad Street
18th Floor
New York , NY 10004
if enough people send Christmas cards they will be spending time opening the cards and maybe that would leave them less time to work on changing Christmas. they will have to open all the cards because they couldn't take a chance of throwing away money that might be in them.
as for those of you who say they will just hire more people to open the extra cards. That would be good too we could help fight to keep Christmas and help someone get a job as well (two birds with one card)

http://www.aclu.org/index.html
you can also go to their web site at the bottom of the page you can click on (your local ACLU) to get the address of your local ACLU we should send cards to the main headquarters and to our local ACLU offices as well. this is something that we can all do:-)

so what do you think is it a good idea?

Do you think most people spend their time arguing about things that can not be proven/disproven because they don't want to address real issues?

I wanted to see signs telling me which direction to go for a long time. Couldnt see any. Typically, I stopped looking and now there are signs everywhere!! But i dont know how to make sense of them. Its too long a story to explain the signs, but if anyone else is a follower, can you tell me how to interpret so they point somewhere?!

definition of 'snivelution' : phenomenon of people continually arguing that either evolution is real, proving God doesn't exist, or creation is real, proving that he/she does exist, and the obssession these people have to keep arguing about it, even though neither position can be proven.

I mean the bible states that it does not contain even one contradiction, however it does, so it is not infallible. If it is not infallible, then when god that claims it is, he must be wrong. If god is wrong, then he cannot always be right. If by definition god must always be right but is not, then god must not exist.

What do you think?

Do they ever stop to think that some of the biggest and most wealthy slave owners were black. That in many states, Black slave owners accounted for almost 30% of the total slave owners for that state. In South Carolina between 1822 and the mid-1840s a man named Ellison became one of South Carolina's major cotton gin manufacturers, he himself was a Slave owner who owned slaves in the hundreds? Do blacks who complain about slavery and reparations ever stop to think about these black slave owners and wether their descendants should pay for reparations too? Do they ever stop and think instead of complaining about the black men who enslaved them?

I have known someone for around 10 years, who went to highschool with my parents, she has been more of a mentor to me than a psychic. But she always gets people to do things for her and sometimes gets mad if they don't. She's good at sending good energy or bad to you, without even being in your presence.
I've only received cleansings from her, but now I am at a point in my life where I feel as though she likes me to depend on her for that.
Sometimes, I get the feeling like were part of some cult.
I want out if it is, I done it slowly in the past few weeks and I think she's got the message.
WHEN DO YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR ENVOLVED WITH SOMEONE WHO IS A CULT LEADER? WHAT ARE THE SIGNS?
I would appreciate some intelligent answers please. Thanks.

I mean this in the sense of feeling more like a girl/woman YOURSELF, as opposed to being "someone else's" mother / daughter / friend / lover / wife, etc.

In fact, where does the Bible address the *specifics* of raising children in the Christian faith at all? Doesn't it pretty much deal with generalities?

Doesn't the time frame in which the New Testament was written preclude any specific, detailed instructions on the raising of children in the faith? The people of that time were concerned primarily with spreading the Good News of Jesus to a whole generation who had not yet heard. Wouldn't the tough questions of raising children in the faith develop over a couple of generations rather than being an immediate New Testament concern?
