Yep, as Angie quoted "Matthew 24:36 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. So not even Jesuse knows.... the best we can do is live a christian life, and be prepared as if it is just around the corner.

The anti-christ is a man with human parents and the spirit of Satan enters him later in life. He isn't born that way, like "Damien" or "Rosemary's Baby" movies. He will be an intellectual genius, an oratorical genius, political genius, commercial genius, military genius, religious genius, he will begin by controlling the western block, he will make a 7 year convenant with Israel but will break it, he will attempt to destroy all of Israel, he will destroy the false religious system of that time so he can rule unhindered, he will set himself up as God, he will briefly rule over all nations, he will lose to Jesus at Armageddon, he will be the first creature thrown in the lake of fire, he will be a master of deceit, he will profane the temple, he will be energized by Satan himself, he will do everything according to his own selfish will, he will not regard the God of his fathers, his god will be the god of power, he will have no desire of women. Also, the generation that sees the reestablishment of the nation of Israel will see the end. What is a generation? A 100 years. Israel became a nation on May 5, 1948. Basically, a 200 million man army descends upon Israel in the Valley of Megiddo. I think these armies will be Muslim. A revived Roman Empire of 10 countries-5 strong (USA is one), 5 weak-come to Israel's aid. Sounds like a partial coalition to me. The western coalition wins but one third of the world dies instantly, and another third dies from famine and plague-nuclear war, I believe. The leader of this revived roman empire (president, probably) restores order to the world and is a good man for 3 and a half years, but then Satan enters him and he turns evil and wants the world to worship him and Israel refuses. After another 3 and a half years, he attacks Israel and if the day were not shortened, mankind would cease to exist. But, the Jews finally turn to Christ and He comes back and defeats the devil. Christians are resurrected, life on earth is perfect for a thousand years and then this heaven and earth are rolled up like a scroll and a new heaven and earth are created by God. Read Revelation (especially chapter 21 and Book of Daniel). I personally believe that 9/11 will be looked back upon as the beginning of the end. Also the Bible says that in the final days, people will be proud of what they should be ashamed of, there will be an increase of knowledge as never before in the history of the world, evil will increase and so will the good to fight said evil, that the nation of Israel will be reestablished -1948 and they will get Jerusalem back when the time of the gentiles is fulfilled-1967. Some people do believe the anti-christ will be the Pope but I don't and yes, John wrote Revelations through divine inspiration and he knew about Nero and Rome but there are many stories in the Bible that deal with dualities-then and in the future.

If your looking for the end of a material world, that's not going to happen.
God stated that the meek would inherit the world, and the bible says it will be a cleansed world since sin and corruption will be gone.
People talk about a coming of Jesus where the Holy ones will go to heaven. Yet the bible says otherwise, that the sinner will die, and the Holy ones will (with Jesus) teach those returning from the grave, how to live forever.
So the "End" will be of the political system as we know it, and the beginning of God's Kingdom government right here on this earth.
Say the Lord's prayer as you know it, or find it in the bible. And examine it verse by verse. Your answers are there!
A loyal JW.

Mat 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."
Jesus emphasized that the sign of his presence and the conclusion was not the sign of the end.
For example, Christ said that there would be wars and rumors of war, "but the end is not yet."
In the next verse, Jesus further stressed that nation warring against nation and the earthquakes and food shortages were merely "a beginning of pangs of distress." That is not to say that the time of the end will go on for decades, as we presently imagine it has, but simply that the conclusion is an interval of some duration as opposed to the absolute finale.
Furthermore, it is apparent that the sign of Jesus' presence and the conclusion of the system has not begun yet. One reason is that many aspects of Jesus prophecy simply are not yet in evidence. Like the fact that Jesus said that "brother will deliver brother over to death, and a father a child, and children will rise up against their parents and have them put to death."
And according to Matthew, "because of the increasing in lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off." Jesus' prophecy calls for global persecution of the preachers of God's kingdom, on a scale that we simply have never experienced. While Jehovah's Witnesses have suffered limited persecution in some countries, can we point to anything that even approaches the level of intensity whereby one's own family will turn against them and has them put to death?
No, we can't really say that that has occurred yet.
The preaching of Jehovah's Witnesses has obviously not fulfilled that prophecy yet, or else the system would have come to an end.
But, we have evidently established a foundation and basis for the work that Jesus will see to its completion during the concluding phase of the system of things. Presently we can only envision the preaching work being accomplished in the ordinary door-to-door work with the Watchtower, because that's all we are familiar with. But, Jehovah has the means to accomplish far more on a scale that we cannot imagine in a very short period of time.
By means of Jehovah's Word, then, we are empowered to peer into the future to get a glimpse of what is to come. And in so doing, we may come to the realization that the preaching that Jehovah's Witnesses have accomplished so far is not the end. No, but it is merely a preliminary to the grand work that God has purposed for those who actually endure through the next phase of the conclusion clear to the end.

I'm not a Christian but as you know scripture say's the end will come like a "thief in the night". This indicates you don't try to figure it out.
I don't see why anyone would waste energy worrying about the "end". All we can do is be the best person we can today, do the best we can today and tommorow will take care of itself.

The end will be brought about by Man.
It will come at an unknown time..but it will take years to happen.
I have always felt that both the greater powers of Good and the greater powers of evil were struggling for me to join their side, because I will have a part with the end of times.
How big of a role I play, and for which side, is not decided.
Because what appears good many be evil in disguise

none are to sure except for jehovah for he knows the exact time exact date on the exact hour..
The disciples of Jesus Christ wanted to know those things. They asked him what "the sign" would be of his presence in Kingdom power and "of the conclusion of the system of things." (Matthew 24:3) Jesus answered by detailing world-shaking events and conditions that would combine to show that mankind had entered "the time of the end," "the last days" of this system of things. (Daniel 11:40; 2 Timothy 3:1) Have we in this century seen that composite sign? Yes, we have, abundantly so!In the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power . . . Wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse." (2 Timothy 3:1-13) All of that has come true right before our eyes.
psalm 37:10, 11 also says: "Just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more . . . But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." Verse 29 adds: "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."
We should take to heart the counsel of Psalm 37:34, which states: "Hope in Jehovah and keep his way, and he will exalt you to take possession of the earth. When the wicked ones are cut off, you will see it." Verses 37 and 38 say: "Watch the blameless one and keep the upright one in sight, for the future of that man will be peaceful. But the transgressors themselves will certainly be annihilated together; the future of wicked people will indeed be cut off."
How comforting, yes, how inspiring it is to know that God really does care and that soon he will put an end to all wickedness and suffering! How thrilling it is to realize that the fulfillment of those glorious prophecies is but a short time off!

I've never understood the desperate desire by certain religious groups for the end of the world.
Do they hate their own lives and the world so much that they wish death and destruction on every living being on Earth?

Soon. But first Satan will play God.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
2Th 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2Th 2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
