In a world of soo many unknowns, such as ghosts, aliens , psychics , ect...How are we to really know what can and can;t exist. So my anser is that yes, it could be quite possible but we will never know.

No, Immortal does not mean living for a long time. Immortal means "never die."
No, people are mortal. All people all the time.
Even in religious texts, the stories about being immortal-like Jesus and others, it is a FOLK tale, to make some point.
People die.
If you live well, it is ok. If you understand the cycle of life and death, you come to accept that you are temporary and make the best of your time here.
If you don't, it is terrifying. And religions hold a fascination for you, to help you pretend that you can be immortal.
It is NOW possible to live for long time-like 150 years or more-if you take real good care of yourself, and are extrememly lucky-but people still die about 70-80 because they get tired of being ill.
Take care of your body-like it is temporary and fragile- make good decisions, and be extremely lucky. Save money to live well after Social Security is bankrupt, and smile a lot.
Don't let little things bug you. Meditate, and exercise.
Don't bet on baloney.
Good luck.

I'll be one of the very few to anwser yes... I think that there are immortals out there in the world. Not born as an immortal, but eventually through a life process become one. Like a vampire! Those are supposed to be immortals. Anything is possible.

no not really, i mean many religious texts say man was once immortal or that one man could live for hundreds of years, but i do not really believe that in today's world anyone is immortal unless they are remembered through their great achievements. Want to be immortal? Find a cure for cancer.

Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime
And departing leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time
As long as you can see footprints, the person lives on, as part of our culture. Shakespeare, Thomas Paine, Thoreau, George Washington, Archimedes, Einstein, etc. They're all very much alive to serious students of their work and history.

I think there are people that think they have lived for ever but whether they have or not is very debateable. I don't think anyone's immortal and if they are then they're so not human

The 'spirit' might be immortal, but the human body is too fragile to last forever.

It is not the question of Belief.
It is the question of possibility.
Immortal means that there should not be any growth after Birth.
The birth itself is because of growth.
In fact you are immortal.
Birth and Death are inevitable in human life.
After death, we live forever with out body.
That's how in all our dealings "living forever" appears.
