I have known someone for around 10 years, who went to highschool with my parents, she has been more of a mentor to me than a psychic. But she always gets people to do things for her and sometimes gets mad if they don't. She's good at sending good energy or bad to you, without even being in your presence.
I've only received cleansings from her, but now I am at a point in my life where I feel as though she likes me to depend on her for that.
Sometimes, I get the feeling like were part of some cult.
I want out if it is, I done it slowly in the past few weeks and I think she's got the message.
WHEN DO YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR ENVOLVED WITH SOMEONE WHO IS A CULT LEADER? WHAT ARE THE SIGNS?
I would appreciate some intelligent answers please. Thanks.

She depends on me by asking me to come over and help feed her dogs at 10:00pm or take her to the docter or help her get something from the fridge cause she has to use a wheelchair. But then theres no time for me, and I don't want to wake up 10 years from now thinking I'm a slave, because I'm afraid she might mistakenly send me bad energy. She yells at people alot, but sais it's because she's fustrated that she can't do all the physical things she would like. Yes she has a caregiver.
If you say no to her she gets uspet, if you say yes, she still finds a reason to *****. Just tiring I should say!!!

It sounds like she's using some left handed magic. You feel like getting out of it because your own senses tell you you should. No need to sensationalize it by calling it a cult. All religions are cults in some comparative way. Never live in boxes.

I would say that theres a chance that shes not even doing it on purpose.

now, she might be... but its not entirely inconceivable that the issue your referring to is entirely accidental on her part.

this is part that some will disagree with.

I think your friend might be what is called a psychic vampire. I am betting, not even on purpose.

for some people, connecting to others charismatically, and drawing energy from them in such a way, would be as natural as breathing or eating.

I reccomend finding the book "The Celestine Prophecy" this is a fiction book, but it is based on real things. I suggest reading it, at least as far as feels right, and then share it with your friend.

as said, calling it a cult is a bit sensationalizing and not really helpful.

Friends are people who share like experiences, views or with whom you enjoy spending time.
If she asks you to do things for her, like feeding her dogs at 10pm, does she ever do such things for you?
Sounds like hocus-pocus. Sounds like she makes you feel guilty.
My opinion: If you like her and want to spend time with her, do.
If you don't, tell her you are busy or too tired to come over.
Don't change your mind, no matter what she does or says.
I don't know that this is a cult-since it is just the 2 of you.
Do what you want. Don't be manipulated. Some people manipulate others as a game, some take it more seriously. It takes two to have a game.
I don't know that I have ever met a cult-leader except maybe a minister of a church. He wanted me to agree with him or take off. I took off.
He needed me more than I needed to fit somewhere.
Stand up for yourself or you will fall for anything.

I think a cult needs to have more than 2 members.

She just sounds like a regular person who is using you. If you're not happy with her, you're right to cut ties.

It also sounds like she might be trying to use her psychic powers (real or imagined) to get you under her control. Not in a sci-fi way, but in a manipulative way.

i honestly dont understand

A .. a psychic reads energy , picks up on energy
that doesnt mean they can manipulate or send you energy ( although yes some do , if they are also a healer )

but you have said yourself , she only sends you cleansings .... how can she depend on YOU for sending cleansing ?

It is possible that this person is practicing magic using spells, incantations etc to control nature &/or people. This can only be affective by using demonic powers. Leaders in this sphere are adept at subtly manipulating, controlling and dominating others. You might get away with breaking off relationships with that person or you might need Christian counselling and deliverance.

Not to sound over religious but you should only depend on God for the things that you need. To e what this person sounds like she's doing is brain washing and good for you that your not allowing her to control you anymore with it.

Psychics are sick-ics . They're very clever in manipulating people . If you believe their garbage , they have you under their control.
If you really believe in good or bad energy being sent , you're already under her power .
Tell her to stick her energy where it will hurt the most . If you want to be free from her , just drop all of your superstitions , and begin to enjoy life .

If the person or people you are with are encouraging you to leave family and friends in order to maintain your belief, you are in a cult.
