Greenback stamps are given for buying from a certain store or chain of stores and when you have collected to so many they could be redeemed for certian gifts that had been selected for purchasing with the stamps. They usually give you a little booklet that you can keep them all in like subway has been doing now, my family bought many things with them as I was growing up as it was a good way to get things you ordinarly couldn't afford because of the extra money it would take.
