When I couldn't get a hold of my brothers in the faith, my atheist friend prayed with me. I asked him why he did that. He said, because your my friend. Does that make him a weak atheist. Our prayers worked.

Would like to know why Americans are so condesending & loud.
I got married 4 years ago in Barbados, we stayed in a very nice resort. There were mainly Americans and English there as well as a few Germans.
I noticed the Americans were SO loud, they sat around the tables with their meals, and were talking and laughing SOO LOUDLY.
Also i noticed the way they spoke to the Barbadians, while at the bar there was 1 American who needed a drink, he was there clicking his fingers for the barman to serve him.
I was cringing & felt so sorry for the barman.
I spoke to one of the Barbadians and she said this was typical behaviour of the Americans, they are used to being talked down to and treated 2nd rate.
I thought maybe these Americans were a minority but was told this happens all the time with the American visitors.
I am English by the way.
I can also remember working for a sotware company & had to call Drs in the States, they were sooooooo rude and obnoxious on phone. Texas was the worst

Some people try to push faith down your throat.e.g Christians, muslims and atheists try to force their own way of believing onto you?Should it not be a personal choice? Why do people feel the need to try to prove the existance of god or to prove that he does not exist? If they believe themselves that he does or does not is that not good enough for them?I myself do believe in god but I dont take part in the religion I was brought up with,.

I've heard that the name used by some secret societies is an alternate spelling of Jehovah, and that it can be traced back to the name of the devil.
If this is true, how can anyone be sure that any religion is true and good?

I understand how getting completely drunk is a sin, but is one glass of alcohol a sin? I have a friend who believes this. She says you're just as bad as someone who is getting drunk if you drink one drink.

I just turned 21, but I don't drink to get drunk. I don't even drink anything that has a lot of alcohol in it.. Like maybe a strawberry daiquiri or a pina colada. I'm not into getting drunk, because I have seen what that does to people.

Am I sinning against God?
What do you think?

Thanks in advance.

Is it moral for a man to drug two women or get them heavily drunk so that he can exploit them for his sexual fancies? I think what he did was wrong, but some people think i am saying it because I am jealous of them. See here, I am not saying that having one-night stands are wrong, but exploiting women on purpose by getting them drunk or drugged just to get them in bed is wrong because it is not 100% consensual - then why do the majority of people not agree with me? Please give me a logical answer whether what that man did was wrong or not.

P.S. I am not bringing god or religion into this question, just so that I could stand on a common ground with everyone here

I am 15 years old, and am a Catholic. This last year and half or so, being in high school, has been really tough for me. A lot of degrading name calling and being called gay and hurtful things like that just cut me down. I used to be really close to God and i understand he should be the most important thing in the world, but i just cant seem to get that to stick with me. These past events just make me doubt more and more that God isn't with me to guide me because i just feel completely useless. Can someone tell me ways to regain my faith because i dont know where to start and i believe that if i grow in faith my way of living will turn around.

My husband and I are looking for a way that we can safely help others that are not as fortunate. We already donate a lot, but we want to do something more hands on. I have thought about making meals and giving them out to the homeless, but it doesn't seem like enough. Are soup kitchens a good idea? Any ideas? What would make a difference. Also looking to do something for Christmas....
