WHy would the Dome of the Rock be also important to christians and jews just as to muslims??

It's not important to Christians or Jews. Palestine is important to Christians because of that is where Christianity orginiated. The wailing wall is around the Dome of the Rock and is where Jews pray. The Dome of the Rock is built over King Solomon's(PBUH*) temple. The Dome of the Rock is the third holiest mosque in Islam. If a Muslim prays in the Dome of the Rock his or her prayer counts as 1,000 prayers. Also it is where the Prophet Muhammad(PBUH*) was taken to Jinnah(Heaven) during the Night Journey.

As Baritone says it is important to Jews because it is on part of the second temple. It is important to Christians as part of a prophecy and not to mention the place where God dwelt with man. Other than that it really is not significant for Christians. We should hold everything loosly as our kingdom and treasures are not of this earth.
