My husband had 4 heart -by-passes in March. Since then we read labels. Frozen dinners will kill you with sodium and fats. I do crumble and buy Swan's healthy foods when they come to my office, though.

I do. It's just me here - so if I buy say a Stouffers Lasagna - a small one - it will make 4 meals for me. (I could not buy all the ingredients for a lasagna and bake it in the oven for the price of a Stouffers)! Put a salad with it and some dressing and you've got a good nutritious meal! Personally do not care for Swanson's unless it's their chicken broth.

I'm with "Glo"...

I COOK.. For what you pay for a Swanson's or Stouffers, I can make 4 or 5 healthy meals.

Plus, my food has no chemicals, low sodium, no fillers, fresh meats, fresh vegetables, etc.

My freezer is always full of home made soups, spaghetti sauce, chicken broth and stock. It's so easy to whip out a container of delicious homemade bean soup or chili, throw it in a pot and eat something wonderful.

And, boy, is my grocery bill low.

Swanson's is crap. Stouffer's is fat and salt. If I have a frozen dinner, it's Healthy Choice or Smart One.

I rarely cook, and everything Stouffers makes is just so good.

The only thing I make for dinner is "reservations" lol.. j/k. Nope, admittedly I dont' do a lot of "home cooking" now that it's just me...but there's a very nice deli at our local grocery store so I tend to frequent it and also treat myself to a pizza every two weeks.

Since I live alone I don't cook for myself. I have a Lean Cuisine for dinner. They are delicious with low sodium and the veggies are fresh.
When I have company I will cook from scratch.

They don't do my cooking but I do cheat by using swanson broth, Campbells cream of chicken/celery/mushroom to have a flavorful base to add onion, celery. sage or poultry seasoning to use corn bread and some bread stuffinh mixed with boiled eggs scattered throughout.

SOMEtimes Stouffer's Lean Cuisine...but rarely - and I like their new flatbread thingies - particularly the seafood one.

I do and some of their meals are delicious. I have been able
to simplify my cooking and they certainly save time and
effort. I get tired of cooking and they fill the bill very well.
I don't use them all the time, only sometimes when I don't
feel like cooking.
