Some people try to push faith down your throat.e.g Christians, muslims and atheists try to force their own way of believing onto you?Should it not be a personal choice? Why do people feel the need to try to prove the existance of god or to prove that he does not exist? If they believe themselves that he does or does not is that not good enough for them?I myself do believe in god but I dont take part in the religion I was brought up with,.

Yes, it does annoy me.
I know they are taught to do that, they often think they are "helping". and on a very rare occasions it does help a person who needs to have guidance in their life, but I don't think most people need to be lead around by their nose to have a happy healthy life.
Then there are those who are just as adamant that there is no God or Divine energy and are just as vocal about it, I just don't understand them and in some ways feel sorry for them, who are they trying to convince?
Me, I do not practice the religion I was brought-up with, and I am very happy to answer questions as many people have been given misinformation, but I try not to proselytize.

Some people can be annoying. But, first of all they may be being taught to be "that way". My friend goes to a church like that. The preacher basically makes them all think they must preach everywhere they are all the time. They can't figure out why they are small and a visitor never goes back! We are the same exact religion but don't associate w/ each other. Believing or not in God is a personal choice. However, the Word does obligate us to tell people about God and His Word. Diplomacy, tact, and guidance of the Holy Ghost are the key issues of when to witness or NOT. My whole family is Church Of Christ. I am Apostolic. How different could we be??

Well, that kind of comes with arrogance to a large degree. That and confidence in what they believe or don't believe. I agree that it should be the personal choice of every individual, but at the same time there is nothing wrong with voicing your beliefs or views to another person. You just shouldn't bash them with your beliefs or views until they conform to your ways. That is what many unbelievers and Christians struggle with today. What they should do is camly present their side and give valid reasons and explanations for why they believe in this certian thing or have these specific views and then back off and leave the processing and decision making up the person in question.

Yes you're right. It's a tempest in a tea cup but the problem is that everyone is trying to tell everyone else how to live by controlling public policy hence the government. Si it becomes much more than a mater of opinion, it becomes a matter of liberty for the non religious and of course it's a mater of salvation for the religious trying to save everyone else.

If the government had less power then it would be less of an issue.

You say you believe in God,, That's great,, but have you accepted God as your Savior ?? Do you read the Bible ?? You don't have to be a member of a Church,, But just believing in Him won't get you in to Heaven,, If you read the Bible you would understand that Jesus told the believers to go spread the Good News... ( The Word Of God )... That's why you hear so much about it... I let people know I believe and trust in Our Lord,, and if they have questions I do try to answer them the best way I know how,,, I won't shove it down your throat ,,, It's your own choice to make,,But I will share what I know.. And I hope that when I do it helps that person know and understand more than before..

Yes,I hate when people stand on street corners talking about Religion.
Whether you want to hear it or not.
If they get too pushy about it I will tell them my beliefs just as strongly.
I usually walk away laughing because I got them so upset.

I rarely see Christians "forcing" their religion onto people, I see them speaking the gospel to them. Too many people on here define "telling them" for "forcing them" and also mistake it for that.

It does annoy me when people insist that by answering questions put to me about my faith, I am somehow "forcing my belief down their throat".
It annoys me that because I vote the way I believe, I get accused of trying to "force my belief down people's throat".
It annoys me that just by living my life according to what I believe is right, somehow people think I am "forcing my belief down their throat".

Come to think of it, why are you on here, trying to force your beliefs down our throat??
