If God says u must be perfect to be in heaven with him isn't it logical to say that, sense most people don't die perfect, there is a place where they must be purged of there imperfections???

For this discussion, let us say their is a being we call god.
How do we know he is really all powerful and that created the world?

For people that work at these places, does it bother you when someone goes out to take a smoke while on clock? For people that eat at these places, does it bother you that the people making your food are smoking in between topping burgers? Overall, do smokers just bother you? Are you like me, do you not breathe for 10 seconds when you walk by someone who is smoking? Doesn't their "right" to smoke infringe upon your right to fresh air? Why don't smokers ever get arrested for littering? Does it bother you when smokers just their cigarette butts on the ground?

Suppose I lived a good religious life according to whatever religion you (the reader) belongs to. Now god knows evereything right? And he knows that I am going to die tomorrow, but he also knows that if I remain alive, I will, in 2 years, become an extremist and kill hundreds of innocent people. Does god allow me into heaven or not?

I was reading that Buddhists dont believe in a god , that the buddha is enough , but i wonder if one can break the rule and still believe in a god, while doing all the Buddhists practices ?

Let's say there is no dispute that it is THE one and only god, and for arguments sake, let's say the religion god endorses is Hinduism.

Would you have the humility to abandon everything you've believed all your life, apologize to all the Hindus you've offended, and dutifully switch to Hinduism?

How about Islam?

Buddhism?

Shinto?

Sun worship?

At some point, don't you scratch your head and think, "billions of people don't agree with my beliefs... maybe there's something I'm missing?"

if God created us then does that mean he created the dinosaurs that we've discovered, the stars, the planets, and the Universe too? if he exists then why is there wars, diformed children and adults, starving children, and suffering? why is he watching us suffer? shouldn't he do something to help us? then God must not exist because he isn't doing anything about it to help the people he created. and there should be proof he exists. right?
