I always try to find a reason to get along with my neighbors. It's worked for me so far.

The neighbors above me engage in some rough *cough cough* @ 3am every other day. It's annoying and loud. So NO, I don't really like my neighbors when I'm trying to sleep.

Depends on what you mean by "love." Does love mean liking them on a personal level? Nobody can like everybody, there are simply too many annoying people in the world.
But if by love you mean you would help them if needed, then sure, I love my neighbors.

I have neighbors that are good hearted. One called the police when they saw someone outside my daughter's window late at night. Actually it was my daughter running away from home. I love that story.

when Jesus said to love your neighbor, he didn't mean your 'next door' neighbor, he meant to love everyone, even people you would not normally associate with
when he was asked, 'who is my neighbor?', he told the story of the good samaritan
Luke 10:29
But because he wished to justify himself, he said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"
30
Jesus replied, "A man fell victim to robbers as he went down from Jerusalem to Jericho. They stripped and beat him and went off leaving him half-dead.
31
12 A priest happened to be going down that road, but when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side.
32
Likewise a Levite came to the place, and when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side.
33
But a Samaritan traveler who came upon him was moved with compassion at the sight.
34
He approached the victim, poured oil and wine over his wounds and bandaged them. Then he lifted him up on his own animal, took him to an inn and cared for him.
35
The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper with the instruction, 'Take care of him. If you spend more than what I have given you, I shall repay you on my way back.'
36
Which of these three, in your opinion, was neighbor to the robbers' victim?"
37
He answered, "The one who treated him with mercy." Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise."

I've had some wonderful ones and some "not so wonderful".
That's the problem...we're called to love them all. I think that's how God teaches us to "love our neighbors"...He gives us some pretty unlovable people to live near!

Neighbor does not mean just your next-door neighbors. It means anyone you encounter that you can help in some way. See the parable of the good Samaritan.

I have some great neighbors.
I used to have an evil ****** across the street. She hit my son, who was 6 at the time, with a metal curtain rod. She was charged with 'Injury to a Child'. When she moved we had a block party to celebrate.

God does not necessarily mean just your neighbors , he means everyone around you. Yes, you are to love everyone even your enemies. You dont have to fellowship with them. Just love them, and you will come to an understanding
