I use five different study Bibles, one work Bible, one kitchen table Bible, four living room Bibles, ( prayer meetings, sometimes we need an extra ) two in the spare bed room, and three next to my side of the bed, and my wife has two on her side of the bed, there are also some in the bookshelf, I'm not sure how many. We also send 10 Bibles a month to people in persecuted countries, ( in their native language).

The amount of Bibles is not the important thing, how many actually obey what the Bible says? I own a couple of translations, but no matter how many times I read through them, if I am not living with I learn through His Word, it doesn't matter.

At least 3, no, make that 4

I've got a King James version
the Good News version
Standard Revised version
and the New Standard Revised version.

I've made use of a 18thC copy of the Vulgate in the library.

The Good News version sucks - they took away all the poetry from the King James:
KJV - "All the kingdoms of the world shall I give to thee, if thou shalt fall down and worship me"
GN - and Jesus said "go away, Satan" - how lame is that? Where's the majesty?

The New Standard Revised version is one that everyone who studies the bible should own.

- I have a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies - and I'm an atheist.

Two. In my house I would guess we have at least 10-15 though, along with 10 or so copies of the Book of Mormon. (4 people, it used to be 5, but my sister is on a mission).

I own 3 Bibles- AND I am a Christian who BELIEVES in His word. What's up with these "athiests" even stating their non-belief, and owning Bibles? I'm not judging, just curious....There is only one JUDGE out there! NUFF SAID!

I had a Catholic Companion Bible that I got when I was a child. One of my kids took it to school. None of them admitting to it. Now, by some strange co-incidence I have a NKJV bible ~ I suspect some bible bashing born again liked my bible so much they swindled one of my children out of my nice old leather bound antique bible in exchange for the one now in its place.
