For people that work at these places, does it bother you when someone goes out to take a smoke while on clock? For people that eat at these places, does it bother you that the people making your food are smoking in between topping burgers? Overall, do smokers just bother you? Are you like me, do you not breathe for 10 seconds when you walk by someone who is smoking? Doesn't their "right" to smoke infringe upon your right to fresh air? Why don't smokers ever get arrested for littering? Does it bother you when smokers just their cigarette butts on the ground?

Well, it is illegal to litter by throwing butts on the ground. If caught, they do get arrested. It is not illegal for a person to smoke on a break. People who take a break must wash their hands before returning to work. If someone smoke before putting my burger together, fine, only they better not forget the pickle. People have a right to smoke if they want. I do not smoke and don't feel the need to hold my breath for ten seconds after passing by a smoker.

You are right feeling that smoking is a bad habit and stupid. Expensive too! You are wasting pretty good anger.

You think that's bad. Every time I walk by the Canadian Cancer Society building, a bunch of their employees are outside smoking!! Talk about bad PR.

You sound bitter. Perhaps you should stay out of fast-food places that employ smokers.

Yes, it all bothers me. But workers are entitled to a break, and they get to do whatever they want. It IS tacky to see them outside smoking though.
