It must be a sobering thought to realize that it's your religion's responsibility for creating these godless monsters.

I have a good friend who seems to attract a lot of stupid jerks who think it's funny to kick eachother and drop someone's belongings off a bridge... (I know random). I also hate the verbal abuse that is always the basis of conversation, always making a mean joke of someone. I hate them all (guys and girls) except for one (girl) even though she's pretty violent herself. I tend to start following their mannerisms and joke about violence and stuff like it's funny. It's getting weird for me but now I'm really good friends with this girl. How can I tactfully avoid the morons being morons without ditching the group directly? Is it even possible to use 'etiquette' in such a situation?

My daughter is 14. She is Spanish, Italian and Pueblo Indian from her dad's side. Northern European from my side. Ever since she was little, people have thought that she was mixed with Mexican or African American. The problem? She is called a lot of racist, derogatory names. Tonight I came home and someone had wrote racist, derogatory words on every window and screen of our home. The police said that they would "beef up" patrol. And since we are 99% sure of who did this, the police said that they would talk to the girl and at least put some fear into her. I am afraid that this matter is not going to be resolved and it will just continue. What else can we do to prevent this from happening again. Aren't there laws to protect one from this? I will be taking pictures of the writings to document this.

since they do not believe in eternal punishment or god. What this says about religous people scares me but that is another question all together.
An atheist comes to his moral and ethical code by thought, logic, trial and error. Since it is something we come up with on our own we know WHY we believe it which oft makes commitment to that belief easier. The knowledge that there is no force in the universe to catch me or my brother if we fall other than the fellow next to me makes this atheist kinder and a lil more understanding.

All that being said, why is it the religous make so bold as to assume they hold a monoploy on morality and ethics?
Furthermore, do you think youre more likely to follow a rule because someone told you to or because you understand the benefit to yourself and others?

We should stop and thank God for all the good things, and not worry so much about any bad things we are facing, the world didn't blow up, world war three didn't start, and there is still time for so many more to come to The Lord and have salvation. Don't make silly comments, I don't even humor you by reading them, I just thought we should thank the Lord for keeping us with Him and safe.

I heard this crazy story several years back from some guy about how the Islamic god is nothing more than a pagan deity of the moon! Supposedly, the arabs worshipped a lot of pagan gods and spirits back in the old days. This much I know is true. But then I also heard that one of these gods was the infamous MOON GOD. And one guy decided that the MOON GOD was better than the other gods. In fact, he went around telling people that the MOON GOD was the ONLY real god and that the others were all fakey gods. Well, they kicked his *** after that, which started the story of the exile to Madinah.

Apparently, there is archaeological evidence to back up this story, but I've never heard of such a thing. Has anyone else heard about this?

Well here's the deal, my sister is now an adult and my parents own a small townhouse near where we live and they rent it out. So what my parents are doing is they're going to let my sister move into the townhouse with one of her friends and her friend will pay half the rent while my parents pay my sister's half. They're also going to furnish the apartment for her, but she has to get a job for food and regular expenses. They'll do this for all of us (3 kids) and I'll be moving out soon. I got kind of annoyed when I heard my sister was moving out completely covered, and she was taking heaps of our stuff with her like my computer desk (i'm getting her old one). Am i being selfish, or are my parents going over the top? Help, opinions? Selfish sibling a.k.a me?

If God wants everyone to hear the gospel and be saved, why doesn't he tell them?

There's people who have never even heard of God that would listen to him at this very moment, but he remains silent. If Christianity were true, then the Gospel would have been preached to each and every one of us directly, and correctly, by God--just as it supposedly was to the disciples who walked and talked and dined with God Himself, or to the Apostle Paul, who claimed to have had actual conversations with God, and to have heard the Gospel directly from God Himself. Was their free will violated? Of course not. Nor would ours be.

Refute anything I post in the next 100 questions and you will find yourself in denial of yourself and your very faith. Everything is going to come from your own book. Be prepaired that truth you decided to avoid is going to fall upon your very head Al hamdoullah.

In my town there are 7 United Methodists churches. One of them is Jane's United Methodist Church....it's the church for blacks.

There is a church for the people who agreed with the North, and one for people who agreed with the South....and the blacks had to build their own church because they weren't accepted in either of them.

So are you going to start saying that United Methodists are racist? Doubt it.

In the Bible it is stressed over and over that you must accept Jesus in order to be saved, that Jesus is the only way to get to the father. Evidently, many Christians desperately try to convert everyone to Christianity. This all makes it very obvious that it is very "essential" in Christianity that you accept Jesus.

Now the question arises: What about those who were born before Christ Himself; Died before birth; what about those who have never heard of Jesus? There are many remote areas around the world "today" where no one has ever even heard the slightest bit of Jesus ! If these people can get to heaven without having to accept Jesus, then accepting Jesus as your savior doesn't seem so "essential" after all.

And to say these people will have the chance to accept Jesus on Judgement day is erronous. Why? If Jesus appeared right in front of them, then they do not accept Jesus through faith but through certainty.

Lets see if I can get a straight answer from this.
