good question i think you should look at the religion itself is it based on truth is it hypocritical ? find this out first an example do they claim to be christian yet take part in Halloween a holiday for devil worship? now if you are happy with the religion but not the people in it then know that at times fellow believers can be a trial to you look at Jesus who had to tell peter get behind me satan! if the person who is stumbling you is saying something right from bible listen if not don't or go some where else where they preach the truth form the bible and act better but know there are no perfect people around.

Dear bimbuh,

Although i do not know much about your church -- i know that God's word does give guidance on how to handle a situation like this.

In the book of 1 Timothy- the apostle Paul reminds the believers that the younger men and women should look up to the older believers as examples and appeal to them in such a manner. As your spiritual leaders their conduct should be exemplary of the things they are teaching.

i would pull them aside individually and address how they are causing you to stumble. But don't go in "with guns blazing" but appeal to them as spiritual leaders. "As my Pastor, As my Bible study leader, etc. i have an expectation that your behavior would be like this- but what i'm observing is this and it's causing me to stumble."

We need to remember that they are people to. And when we observe people whose behavior is contrary to what God's word instructs us- we need to point it out to them- but remember that pointing it out is a loving act- where you hope to restore that brother or sister, and so your heart ought to be to treat them as a brother or sister in the Lord and not just an angry reaction because they are failing to meet your expectations.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

PS: It also depends on how serious the act is that is causing you to stumble. Feel free to email me if you need more advice.

Go to a different Church, or go to the congregation if there are enough supporters, however your church works, take action, if it is Gods will, if you believe The Church is going against Gods will.

1st, you should talk to them about it. If you and they are unable to resolve the problem, then it's time to find a new church.

No one should come between you and God. I like katydint's answer. Pray to God on your own and seek guidance.
