Why do atheist believe God lives in the clouds and uses magical power to control the earth?

++How come it is easier to tean down the christian church and other religions, then join?

+++Wasn't there a saying,"don't knock it till you try it!" Is it becoming an obselete phrase?

I'm a young? woman almost 30 and I'm facing a problem I'm single and have really always been, at times i feel lonely but only for a time now here's my dilemma, my family is traditional and want me to settle down and marry, i on the other hand feel fine as i am, kind of,so why should i pursue a relationship? but the older ones say i will be lonely as i age i trust them to be wiser so i end up confused? I'm also always experiencing things later than others so some of my family my own age say that i will definitely want a husband later but should act now as this is the best age to find one, now this is very believable when i look around but i still don't think it would be easy to find one as i don't get asked out now.i want to know your age and what you think especially if you are a older single woman, how is your life do you have regrets,what would you change what are the benefits of being single in old age or if you married at late age for the first time was it harder was it worth it?

I am a server, and if not being too arrogant, a darn good one. I'm rather confident in what I do.

Trying to find out what people think on this. Via my tips, it seems like MOST people know how to tip properly, and others seem to just be ignorant about it.

The min. amount of a tip should be 15%. Period. If the service is wonderful, then 20%! If you tip a flat 20% always, it's greatly appreciated.

If you don't think you should tip, you shouldn't dine out. The service staff pays taxes on their sales.

Also, do you tip when you place a call in or walk in carry out order? The person taking care of you should receive a tip as well.

I'm hoping in 200 years or so. It will be nice when people stop worrying about it, and forget about it, and just move on with life. Maybe people will just start realizing it's a joke and stop passing it down to others. Who knows.

i personally don't mind gays, but when i see them making out or getting married, I just kinda wig out... idk why

and i know that a lot of younger people are really mean to gays, but I am in 8th grade, and i really don't get it... [btw- im straight, just for the reference]

We just moved into a four-plex. We live upstairs over a family with two small boys. The boys and mother alike leave trash out in the parking lot, their dog tears into trash they leave on their porch, and never pick it up!
I have asked them before to please clean up after their kids, & dog and they did for a SHORT TIME, not soon after it was back to normal.
When they ask my son to sit for them, he has to clean the house to feel comfortable in their home! When he brought it up to them, they offered him a "lot" more money to clean up the house for them, which he would have done anyway, but hey getting paid to do it is better!
I am not a nit-picky person but I don't like litter. I even pick-up trash on the routes I take to walk our dog, because I don't like looking at it!
So how do I tell them again, and make an impression that will stick with out ruining our neighborly feelings? Do you think it would be out of bounds for me to ask the young ones to pick-up their trash?

...then why is god holding it against us and not the devil? Why would he make us pay for what the devil is doing to us? It doesn't seem right to me that a god who is supposed to be so loving would punish the victims of the devil's wrongdoings.

I've heard lots of people say how god means one thing to them, but can mean something totally different to someone else. How can god be so many different things for so many different people? How is everyone supposed to worship him if there's no uniform way in which to describe him?

heard Protestants say this as well. If keeping the Sabbath is one of the ten biggies how could they so cavalierly change the law just to advance their numbers. They are honoring th commandments in the breach. What it really seems like is that they cobbled together the two religions for political reasons or reasons of strength and power, not reasons of a covenant.
